Today, I visited Bikanerwala, the famous India Foodchain which serves in different countries and is famous for its pure vegetarian dishes. Being a vegetarian this is my go to place for dining in peaceful and clean atmosphere.

Bikanervala is a leading Indian snack food chain and sweets brand, which began in 1905 with a small store in Bikaner and today has over 150 outlets across the country and abroad.

At the Bikanervala outlet in Modipuram, you'll find Indian sweets, snacks, delicious tiffins, and popular vegetarian restaurant dishes.

Bikanerwala was founded by Mr. Lal Chand Agarwal in Bikaner in 1905 and initially sold only sweets and snacks. In the 1950s, family members moved to Delhi and began selling bhujia and rasgullas on the streets.

He opened his own shops in Paranthewali Gali, Moti Bazaar, and later in Karol Bagh, Delhi. Demand for his food and sweets was strong, leading to significant growth in his business.

He later changed the name of his business to 'Bikanerwala', and it is now a multinational snack food company headquartered in Delhi and also operates on a franchise model.

Shyam Sundar Agarwal is the current Managing Director of Bikanerwala Foods Private Limited.

Bikanerwala is famous for its traditional Indian sweets such as Kaju Katli, Rasgulla, Dhoda Barfi, Moong Dal Halwa, as well as Sev, Bhujia, and other snacks. Packaged food contributes 80% of revenue, while restaurants contribute 20%.
