THE DIARY GAME: 16TH JUNE, 2026 | From a Good Start to One of Those Days

Today I woke up very tired.Like I was seriously at the point of not going to work.

My body was not cooperating and I really felt like staying in bed. But I don’t really like missing work unless it’s necessary, so I just told myself to find strength and move.

Even with how I was feeling, I still managed to do some chores.My sister made breakfast and I swept the house.I just wanted to finish everything early so I wouldn’t be rushing later.After that, I got dressed and prepared for work.

One thing that was on my mind this morning was being extra careful while commuting.Lately there have been stories around Abuja about people entering wrong cars and getting their properties stolen, so I was honestly more observant than usual.

When I got to the road, I didn’t just enter any car.I asked questions first and made sure the driver was actually going my direction.He said yes and told me to enter.Even after entering, I was still careful and alert the whole ride,I sat close to the edge and stayed observant.

Thankfully, everything went well.Then something unexpected happened.When we got to my destination, the driver told me not to worry about transport fare and that he was carrying me for free.

That honestly made me smile because after worrying so much, nothing bad happened and I even got a free ride.

I got to work and my colleague came late because she went to the bank.So I ended up doing all the cleaning myself.After cleaning, I had breakfast.

The day actually started pretty well after that.I started my class early and learned a lot today.

And I’m actually getting close to finishing SQL which made me really happy because I can see progress little by little.Later work became busy and normal.

One funny highlight was that my colleague brought grasshopper and gave me some,So at least there was that.

But towards evening,My boss called me and we had a little misunderstanding.Nothing too serious, but it honestly changed my mood and ruined the energy I had.

We later closed and our boss dropped us at the junction.Then another small issue with a driver just added to my frustration and at that point I was already over the day.

Getting home ,Our gas had finished.Nothing to cook.And I just stood there thinking wow what a way to end the day.

Today started well but ended somehow.But well not every day will go exactly as planned.Tomorrow is another day.
