Hello Steemians, greetings to you all. It's your friend @freshgrace here to share my disappointing day and how it ended.
I have developed thick skin for any inconveniences some days may bring as a human. This is what a lot of people do not know: life is not a bed of roses; it is not how you always prefer it should be, but it is your ability to control situations and remain happy or just to be unbreakable. Yesterday brought a very stained disappointment to me, but I moved on to the next stage of my engagements for the day. Let's read down, as all will be unfolded in every line of this diary game post.

MORNING
Waking up in the morning after prayers, the only thing on my mind was to prepare for the Obotme for Christ Crusade. It is an annual event that has been running for the past 16 years, every second week of December. The organiser called me some weeks ago for the movement, and I had to fix my schedules to accommodate 11 - 14 December, 2025, for the programme.
When I felt malaria symptoms, I had to take an enema before anything else. This time, I wanted to handle it with traditional medicine. While I was on it, I had a call from my colleague telling me that notice for screening into the postgraduate programme had been published for 11am. I immediately wrapped up, called my barber and responded with acceptance and urgency. After the barbing, I bathed and picked up my already arranged documents in their file and left for the screening exercise.

Taking Passports
I rushed to take new passports with red background in the school as required before going for the screening, but on getting after the stress, I couldn't find my name; the office man told me that my school is yet to send my transcript down to the postgraduate school. At this point I was disappointed because I met all the requirements to send the transcript successfully. I paid for it and still paid and all of that. The man told me to send information again and come back for the screening. At about 11:35am I left the postgraduate school after stamping my receipts with the bursar.

AFTERNOON
While I was returning from school, I bought some fruit. It was a hot afternoon, so I decided to blend them, and we had a family time with the juice. At about 3pm my boss drove in from Calabar, and we proceeded on the journey for the programme. Along the way, precisely in Ikot Ekpene (The Rafia City), we stopped to buy some snacks and a microphone battery, and we continued and reached about 6pm.

EVENING
After a little rest, we moved around the community, meeting the Local Organising Committee and the rest of the people we had employed for renting chairs and canopies. We were satisfied with all the reports from various departments; we then decided to attend the Shiloh 2025 as a way to give moral support to the church and pastor as clerics.
There in the church, I felt relieved and the good reports of the planning of the Crusade increased my joy to comfort my heart down to the earlier screening disappointment. I ended the day with peace of mind.
Let nothing break you; if when broken, you can fix it, and when you're disappointed, find what will make you happy while you look for solutions to turn your disappointment into an appointment.
