Best regards to you all, I pray for a wonderful day in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

HIGHLIGHTS OF MY DAY

  1. Going for prayer and fasting.
  2. Having family time.
  3. YOWICNN Exco Meeting at Salvation Army.
  4. Football entertainment and bedtime.

Waking up that morning, it was our 6 hours stretch fasting and prayer scheduled for 6am to 12pm. As early as 4:30am we were awake and began to prepare ourselves. By 5:30am I was already on the road with my son,

We are on the road to go to church very early
we had to teach him the ways of faith. But we had to wait for a mini bus running down the street for a long time. We later moved by 5:40am and got to church at exactly 5:57am and we began the prayer meeting at 6am.

The spiritual atmosphere of the meeting was powerful as members came out although some were late. Prayers for the church, family, Nigeria, individuals and for the good of the new year globally.

Prayer points were also shared to members to pray for men, women, youths and children not forgetting the sick, expectant and pregnant women, job opportunities and academic excellence. The fasting took us from 6am to 12noon when we were closed.

In the afternoon I was home, after some rest my wife needed noodles and I got some from a nearby shop and it was prepared in a matter of minutes, and her craving was made available, that's her present condition anyways.

About 2pm, we were all sleeping and waking up about 4:30pm,

FA Cup Match
my wife who has suddenly become a football lover reminded of the English FA cup competition that is ongoing, we put on the television and on the whole Manchester City versus Exerter were playing we watch together, a way to say that we had family time.
Family Time
I watched football until 4:45pm when I left for the Youth Wing of Christian Council of Nigeria Akwa Ibom State Chapter exco meeting at The Salvation Army Church located at number 37 Udotung Ubo Street, Uyo.

The YOWICCN exco meeting was to be constituted at exactly 5pm, but some exco members bent on African time which is an ideology of believing that it must not always be exact time. I met only one person which we had to wait for about an hour before others came for the meeting to commence.

At The Salvation Army Church Premises for Exco Meeting

I was patient enough to derive courage from the person I went to meet. But I thank God that we had a successful meeting, help us to fix our itinerary of the year accordingly.

It was a long meeting for the exco members who sacrificed even the time to have enjoyed the AFCON matches, especially the game between our dear country Nigeria against the Algerians which ended in our favour. While in the meeting were loaded with noises that were becoming boisterous from the nearby view center and from those watching at home. At some point, we paused the meeting for at least a minute to know how our boys are doing. Therefore apart from updates we saw from the phone, the environment was also unknowingly giving us the vibes.

The meeting closed about 7:35pm and I went home to be gist by my wife about the matches, both the Manchester City FA cup who trashed their opponent 10 goals to 1. It was a training not a competition as such. 10 goals with a consolation was too much to understand from a team who came for this competition. My wife went ahead with excitement, narrating how Nigeria pocketed Algeria and the fine goals from Victor Osimhen and Adams Akor, she even concluded that the AFCON 2025 is coming home. I smiled but wishing it will happen because the last time was in 2013 when Sunday Mba scored the only goal that took away the cup from the outstanding Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 and the then Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama also carried the center referee on his neck while celebrating the final whistle. Can this moment be replicated for us after Ivory Coast won us the last time?

The last match for that night was Egypt versus Ivory Coast which ended 3-1 for the Pharaohs to proceed to the next round, ending the hope of the defending champions, while some Manchester United fans might have celebrated

AFCON Match
one of their star man, Amad Dialo returning to join Bryan Mbeumo who exited the tournament with Cameron to prepare themselves for their next premier league match between Manchester City and United.

I ended the day with so much excitement, had my bath and dinner to retire to bed. Now the day is over.
