An Evening on the Streets leading to Accra Lapaz

This street leads to Lapaz

Last night was great, I did something I usually don't do and that is to go out alone at night. It was not too late though, just a few minutes to 10:00 PM.

I wanted to enjoy the breeze and spend time thinking, and also walking is good exercise. Besides that, I had trouble sleeping two days ago and didn't want it repeating itself, so the plan was simple, just walk outside, exhaust myself, and come home so tired that after an evening shower I am off to bed. That's actually what happened.

When I got back home I was a bit hungry. I don't like eating at night, so I had a little snack. Anyways, today's blog is not about a plant as usual, I wanted to share some street views with you.

It's a bit awkward when people see you taking shots outside but I'm used to pulling out my phone so I don't mind.



DERBY ROYAL HOTEL

The building you're looking at is called Derby Royal Hotel. I've been there before when a foreign family that were family friends visited us, that's where they lodged for about two weeks. It's a decent place but since it's night and my phone is not necessarily the best at low light or night pics, you may not see it in the entirety of its glory but it's a basic decent hotel.

This other building is a bit close to the park, we call it the Raster Park in Race Course. I took this onynway back home. You know what, for my next blog I'll show you all the Raster Park. This evening I'll take a stroll again and I'll go there. This building is an apartment building, a few houses close by, and two big churches there. I'll be featuring all that in my next blog.

And then there's this other building that is actually on the street. If you've ever heard of Accra Lapaz before, this is the street from Racecourse that actually leads to Lapaz.

You could Google it and you'll know exactly that. This building is also another apartment building and from the way the buildings look, you know they were built a while back because we're not using these designs in modern home constructions anymore.

I got a call from home to return because it was too late at night and of course it was not necessarily a command but one of concern and common safety reasoning, which I agreed with. So, for tonight I'll set off earlier so I can reach Lapaz and show you another street view. From there perhaps I'll get used to going out more often and I'll take you all with me.
