Fresh dirt
The new wood smells nice and takes me back to when I used to be closer to the earth. Now I'm too busy to look at the gardens around.
The just framed the garden bed and the guy who did it said his back started 1 hour after he started. His back aches when he lifted, shows it's a strong wood. I want to look at the good dirt. I want to see what get to feel like good dirt. It’s dark and very cold and it’s nice. It's not my home but it's good sign people are getting used to farms than fake flowers and decorations.
Way too much was spent on the soil, and the guy at the supply yard said it was well treated so that's a good thing too. You never know when it will rain to see what crawls out. I don't try to touch it too much, the centipedes will love this area but it's treated so it's an excuse.
The soil is a few inches deep and as you can see, very well leveled out. It looks nice and professional and maybe it looks like he knew what he was doing but I don’t. I’m just looking at.
They need to get the seeds in before another day's afternoon heat turns this stuff into brick. But the shade hits the porch well enough to block too much sun heat. The plants can wait. It can stay like this for a while, we know the soil isn't going anywhere.

🎉 Congratulations!
