How to Make Steady Money with Lettuce and Pepper
Money will almost always be in the pockets of a farmer who is organized and knows exactly what to do to maximize the land they're using.
I was looking at this little farm and I wanted everyone else on Steemit to check it out too.
You're seeing two obviously different crops here. It's lettuce and pepper plant.
It's not for nothing that the farmer had two different crops. The official name for this practice is, Inter cropping.
Growing lettuce with pepper makes business sense because lettuce is ready and harvested in about one month. The farmer can quickly market his cash in hand to fund all the day to day cash flow needs. If you're growing a farm to sell, you'll most definitely have business necessities that demands money.
Peppers take roughly three months to be ready for harvest and cash, but that also means the farmer is dealing with a long term cash flow gap, they do have a huge profit though. This system is designed to pay the farmer at different periods of time and maintain the business. It protects the business from total loss of investment. In the event the target price for a crop is not met, the business won’t suffer complete loss of investment thanks to the second crop.
Weeding is expensive and time consuming because a farmer typically has to hire laborers to do that on a weekly basis. This time and labor cost is reduced all because of a simple method of growing lettuce that is a great business strategy and the value it gives is clear.
