Probably should get used to bitter leaf

In my family, bitter leaf was an ingredient for soup and used as an alternative medicine because they only saw it as a healing herb. Eating bitter leaf was the worst thing I did when my parents took me to visit relatives in my hometown. The experience was really horrible and I could not understand why anyone would do that to themselves.

Even though the leaf was very unpleasant, everyone still see it as the best option to fix a lot of health problems. If someone was unwell, had any stomach problems or related issues, the one remedy they would recommend for this was bitter leaves that had been boiled. This is still the belief for most of the people.

Even though bitter leaves do not taste the best, they help a lot in digestion. They help induce comfort after you've eaten something heavy or fatty. It's not the best option available, but it's still they one they choose. Of the health screening I've witnessed, the traditional doctors who believe in herbs have also included bitter leaves into their health regimen.

Many claim it makes them feel lighter and more energetic, but I’ve never really noticed an effect on my energy.

As you grow, you tend to learn to appreciate the true value of the leaves. Its long history also shows its importance. Good thing is you can become used to the bitterness over time and can begin to see it in a more positive light.
