Reason Why You Should Never Shake The Cashew Nut Branches When It's Harvest Season.

Hi guys, I've made another video and I wanted to talk about something very important with regards to cashew nuts.

As you can see in the video, the sheer amount of dropped cashew is a good reason to classify it as a lazy man’s crop. But, it is important that the farmer does not become impatient when picking the fruit, as handling of the fruit right from the ground will determine the weight and quality of the fruit when purchased.

The first rule of cashew farming is to not try to force harvest the fruit from the tree. When the nut has matured enough, the cashew will naturally fall to the ground without any help from you. There is a big temptation to knock the fruit off the tree with sticks just because you see fruit hanging from the branches. This is not a good idea.

Many times the nut within the hanging fruit will still be in its early stage or not fully developed, so mixing them together with the good quality fruit, will result in the entire pack not being worth as much.

Fruit that has fallen to the ground and among dry leaves must be removed within a few days to avoid rotting. The nuts must also be removed from the juicy fruit part immediately. After separating the two, the nuts must be both washed and dried on a clean mat in sunlight for roughly about three days until they become gray in color and when they're shaken, should produce some sharp clicking sound.

Following these steps will help you ensure the ensure weight remains high and your investments is intact. Believe when I say you could lose all your profits from impatience when it comes to the Cashew crops.
