We already know there are different varieties of pepper and today I'll show you a special usually big one called the Banana Pepper.

In the village where I visited about 4 months ago, the farmers have a very special word of appreciation for the banana peppers they grow.

They say that they can grow in two minutes, just to signify how fast the crop grows although like I said in the video, nobody means that literally.

In reality, it takes the seeds around three months to grow inside the soil, but after the first harvest, the plant will start to keep producing fruits week after week, bringing the farmer a lot of income. That's where the whole speed thing comes in.

Banana peppers are pretty vegetables and very beautiful to look at. The peppers are long and heavy. They are a pale green color and the average person really does not know that this vegetable can be sold for so much money on the market. Banana peppers are sweet and do not have that burning taste that little red peppers have. As a matter of fact, a lot of the restaurants in our town have a constant supply of banana peppers.

They cut them up in their fried rice and in some of the local sauces and the aroma is just too good for the customers.

Planting banana peppers is smart for the local farmers because the vegetables do not take that much time to grow unlike cassava or cocoa which can take months or years to grow before they can be harvested. The banana peppers are very strong and have a long shelf life, meaning that they will not rot or decay or spoil while being transported to market. So that's the reason the locals earn a lot of cash from their produce because they get paid immediately upon arrival at the market.

By choosing to grow this crop, your plants will be bringing to you, constant supply of food and wealth.
