The diary game.12/02/2026. Between Household Duties and Heavy Hearts
Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.
Today, we had a huge amount of work left, as the guests who had arrived a day earlier had already left at night. Now it was time to complete the necessary tasks, like cleaning the utensils that were used while serving and cooking for them. It was quite a lot of work for my mother, and for that reason, I needed to help her. She is not well and often feels weak, so I cannot let her do all the work alone. I usually try to assist her to reduce her burden.
For that reason, I again got up early in the morning without any hesitation and, after performing ablution and offering the morning prayers, prostrating in complete submission before the Almighty, I returned to begin the household work. Fortunately, my mother’s sister-in-law also came to help her. When my maternal aunt started doing the work, my mother felt relieved. She then only helped in carrying the utensils and placing them in the sunshine to dry. Since these utensils are made of copper, they need to be dried properly, as remaining wet can cause rusting. They also need to be handled carefully.
After helping my mother with the early morning chores, I went to my room to read a few chapters of Indian polity, as it has been my interest for a long time. It always surprises me how such a vast country is governed and how farsighted the Constitution makers were. They had already incorporated many major provisions to address future challenges.
Later in the day, I had the responsibility of checking my mother’s blood pressure, as the doctor advised us to monitor it for five consecutive days before meeting him again. Thankfully, it was normal today as well.
In the afternoon, my friend asked me to accompany him to a nearby village to visit one of our friends whose father has been ill for the past few days. We spent some time there. Our friend was not feeling well emotionally, as his father has been diagnosed with serious health issues that could be life-threatening. He was deeply upset. I tried to console him, but it was difficult, as such sudden diagnoses without any prior history are hard to accept.
After returning from our friend’s place, I came straight back home. I was not in the mood to eat dinner because I had already had a late lunch, and whenever I eat late, I feel a burning sensation in my stomach and need to drink a lot of water.
Later in the evening, I read a few more chapters of Indian history. I had a very light dinner and went to bed quite late after completing my reading target. However, going to bed late makes me feel lazy the next day, and the doctor says it may be due to hormonal imbalance.
Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
