The diary game. A Snow-Clad Day and the Quiet Joys of Winter .27-01-2026

Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.

For the past few days, winter has truly shown its colours, and the first snowfall of the season has made life quite exciting. Everything seems pleasing because, in the absence of precipitation earlier, whatever we did lacked a proper vibe. At this moment, with a lot of snow outside, winter vibes are at their peak and everything has brought a sense of happiness. No doubt I am posted at a very far place as part of my special duty, but still, driving through snowy roads makes it worth it.

Today again, I woke up very early in the morning as part of my habit. After getting fresh and performing ablution, I offered the morning prayers and started my day. Praying early in the day brings peace and helps me strengthen my bond with the divine. As mornings are extremely cold, staying outside the bed early in the morning becomes almost impossible, so to stay safe and warm, I usually spend some time in bed after prayers, and today I did the same.

After that, I had my breakfast, which was already prepared by my mother. Then it was time to move towards my office. Since the office is very far from my place, I need to set off a little early. Earlier, when I was posted in my home block, it took only 15 minutes to reach my office, but now, being posted at a distant place, it takes more than 40 minutes. Upon reaching the office, I got straight into my work, which is my routine. I don’t waste time these days as work targets are important, and I usually finish them a little early in the afternoon.

With everything covered in snow, no matter where I go, everything looks pleasing and eye-catching. Nothing feels boring these days, and I feel like I am always in a quest to see something more beautiful, as every part and every inch of the land seems more beautiful than ever. When I stepped out to leave for the office, I was surprised to see my car stuck in the snow. Only after switching on the engine and letting it warm up for some time was I able to drive it out.

Later in the day, after returning home, it was time to relax and warm myself near the electric heater already switched on in the living room. In the evening, I went out for some shopping to buy fruits from the market. There, I met a friend, and we spent some time together. We walked around while talking and sharing stories from the past few days. It was an exciting and soothing time, watching the snow and the lights illuminating the whole area, which was truly worth watching.

After that, I returned home with some fruits and a coconut. I broke the coconut shells and handed over the fruits to other family members. Later, at around 9 PM, I had dinner. Having dinner together with our grandmother, who has been staying with us for the past few days, is always special. Serving her at this stage of her life feels like a privilege, as she has done so much for us since we were born. It feels like repaying her, even if only to some extent. She is very dear to all of us, gentle and noble, and has always cared for everyone.

Later, after spending some time on social media and seeing what was happening around, enjoying reels of skating—especially because of the strong winter vibes spread across the area—I went to sleep at around 12 AM.
