The diary game. Better life with steem. A Busy Day of Certificates, Office Work & Orchard Inspection. 16/09/2026

I needed a certificate that is used for employment purposes, and since I was eligible for that certificate, I had to visit a few offices first. While making inquiries there, I found out that I also needed my schooling certificates. That meant I had to visit the different schools where I had studied—my primary school, middle school, high school, and higher secondary school—and get written confirmation on their official letterheads that I had been a student there.

So, I had quite a few schools to visit, and keeping all of this in mind, I woke up early in the morning. Since I already had these tasks on my mind, I finished my morning routine a little quicker than usual. I started my day with Namaz, offered my duas, and then did some exercise. I sweated a little, did some jumping and movement, and tried to keep myself fit and agile. After that, I had breakfast and got ready to visit the different schools.

There were also a few things that needed to be taken care of at home. And since I am currently on deputation to another office, I had taken leave from there for the day because this work was important and needed to be done. After finishing some household work, I finally headed towards the schools.

My first stop was Badipora High School, which is a neat, clean and quite beautiful school located in a neighbouring village in our area. When I reached there, I met some of the teachers, and a few of them were people I already knew. They welcomed me warmly and asked what I was doing these days. When I told them that I had been a student of the school, they were really happy to see me.

After a little while, the person in charge of the relevant section came in and prepared the certificate for me. They also took a small amount of money for it, which goes towards the School Welfare Fund. It’s a voluntary contribution and not something that is compulsory, but I was more than happy to contribute something because this is the school I grew up around, and coming back there after so many years gave me a very emotional feeling and a sense of connection.

After spending some time there, I had to leave for another school—the higher secondary school from where I completed my higher secondary education. I had a similar experience there as well. I had to wait for a little while, interacted with some people, and eventually received the certificate I needed.

By the time I finished getting the certificates, it was already afternoon. I also needed to visit my office because I had to collect one final certificate from there. When I reached the office, I checked my boss’s room and found that he had already arrived. We talked for a while, and he greeted me warmly because he was seeing me after quite some time. I had been away on deputation for about a month, so it was nice to meet him again.

After sitting in his office and talking for a while, it was time for me to leave and go to the LPC section. My certificate was prepared there after some time, and once I got the required signatures, I headed towards Chadoora.

By then, I was extremely hungry, so I decided to have some food first. I went to a restaurant where I usually eat, and I also know the owner quite well. I placed an order for fried rice and, while they were preparing it, I went to the Tehsil Office, which is actually the office where I am currently on deputation.

I met some of the employees there whom I know and spent some time talking to them. Just then, I received a phone call that my fried rice was ready, so I had to leave and go back to the restaurant.

I still had a few other things to do. I needed to buy some clothes, rice and a few other household items, so I also went to my friend’s shop. But there wasn’t enough space to park my car there, so I had left it in a nearby parking area. Unfortunately, someone had parked their vehicle right behind mine, blocking me in.

I had to wait for a while and call the person. Eventually, they came back and moved their vehicle, but by then I had already lost quite a bit of time.

After that, I went to another shop because I needed a few things for the brush cutter—or grass cutter—that I have at home. I needed some oil and a few other items for it, so I spent some time there as well. By the time I finished everything, it was already evening, and I finally headed back home.

After reaching home, I sat for a while, but then I thought I should visit the orchard as well. These days, especially with the harvesting season approaching, we have to keep a close eye on the orchards. Even a disease appearing at the last moment can cause significant damage, so regular monitoring is very important.

I went to the orchard with my uncle, and while inspecting the trees, we noticed that some of the apples had started showing signs of scab. The disease had started affecting some of the fruit, so we decided that we would spray the orchard with the necessary treatment the very next day.

It is always a tense moment when you notice something like this in your orchard. We put in so much hard work, energy, time and investment throughout the season, and when the harvest is so close, any damage at the last moment can be a major setback for us.

So, to avoid any further damage, we felt that spraying was absolutely necessary. We immediately started making arrangements. We called another one of my uncles and also contacted the person we usually coordinate with for arranging these things.

After coming back from the orchard, I sat at home for a while, freshened up, and then went back to the market to bring the things we needed. I finally returned home at around 9:30 in the evening, had dinner, and went to sleep.

It was a long and tiring day, but I managed to take care of quite a few important things—from collecting my school certificates and completing office work to checking on the orchard and preparing for the upcoming harvest season.
