The Diary game: Walking Through Work, From Farm to Files.
I got up very early in the morning, as is my habit, and straightaway, after waking up, I went for ablution to purify myself and then offered prayers nearby. Today, as part of my duty, I had to reach the district at a specific ward, so I needed to stay alert and be quick to reach there on time. I also had to carry a mechanical pump to the orchard, as we needed to spray pesticides. My uncle had already conveyed this to me, and I was waiting for him after having breakfast.
I accompanied him to the nearby orchard, where we completed the spraying work. Only after finishing this did I return home, as I also had to go to the office. Today, I had to visit a distant place where we had worked before, and once again, our presence was required to complete official work. I had also been assigned the task of approving the work done by the lower staff throughout the day, which needed to be checked, verified, and authenticated, especially since it pertained to updating revenue records.
It was quite a tiring day, as I first had to do farming work—carrying pumps and other equipment to the orchard for pesticide spraying—and then spend the rest of the day at the office completing official duties related to revenue records. By late afternoon, I returned home, but again had to engage in some farming work by helping my mother in the kitchen garden. She was already there, removing weeds and unwanted herbs from the vegetables. She is very fond of growing vegetables for domestic use and treats it more like a serious project than a casual activity.
After finishing this work, I finally had some time to read. I usually spend time reading Indian history, as I am quite fond of learning about the struggles of our ancestors in liberating our country from imperial powers. The freedom struggle was long but fruitful and has given us valuable lessons and practical insights.
Later in the evening, I went out to meet my friends in the market, where people from the village usually gather to spend some time together. After returning home with the items my mother had asked for, it was time for dinner. Before going to sleep, I revised a few chapters of history to strengthen my understanding. By around 11:30 PM, I was done reading, went to bed, and called it a day.
