My experience playing SteemLudo.

I used to play this game as a child, and this platform reminded me of it—and especially how to play it. I’ve played several games—winning some and losing others—but that’s just how the game goes. This time around, I wanted to play against someone active on the platform, but I waited about four minutes and no one joined.

So, I decided to try playing against the bot; the 3-Steem option offers the chance to play against a human, but—just like the last time—I wasn't lucky enough to get matched with a human player. That’s why I’m taking this opportunity to invite my cousin @bntcamelo.

And so the game began; my strategy was clear: to get ahead in every way—in positioning and in getting my piece crowned. That was what I wanted, but fate—or rather, luck—had other plans.

And that’s where things went downhill; the first piece I moved forward happened to get captured. I could have moved a different piece and waited for him to advance, but the bot already had a piece out and got very lucky—it rolled the exact number needed.

And once again I got sent back to "home" (I don't know if that's the term used in other countries), but the bot played it well—it was a choice between moving that piece or another; two pieces lost and back to the start, with the bot forging ahead with two pieces while I only had one on the board—things weren't looking good.

I hadn't made much progress—I had just a single piece on the board—when, by chance, I rolled the lucky number and knocked another one of my own pieces back to the start. That made three pieces lost; it is very difficult to recover in the game after three consecutive losses.

The bot had already moved the rest of its pieces into the home stretch (I don’t know if that’s the term used in other countries); it could no longer capture any more of my pieces, so the time had come to race and see if it would roll high numbers.

Luck wasn't on my side, and the bot finished first; it was way ahead while I was trailing far behind. I'll need a better strategy and a bit of luck next time. I'll keep playing, though—especially quick matches whenever I'm bored.
