The Diary Game: Preparing My Kids To School Before The Heavy Rain 17-02-2026

Hello ladies and gentlemen of steemit, how are you doing? It's your friend @joychi102 and it's with full excitement that I want to share how my day was.

My kids were ready for school on Tuesday before the heavy rain that fell started. I gave them breakfast, they ate and while I dressed my son, my daughter was already done dressing. When they finished, I called their bike man to come carry them to school. When they left to school, I went to the shop.

When I got to shop, my husband had finished packing things outside, though some delicate items, he didn't bring them outside because of how the weather was.

I didn't have anything to do that morning and just as I was standing up to attend to my customer, the heavy rain started. It was so heavy that even the small things we took outside, we had to pack then back inside so that the rain won't affect them. Partly, I was happy because the house will now be cold and partly, I wasn't happy because the sales will be dull.

Just as I predicted it, the sales was so dull on Tuesday, I not seen a rainy day that dull, it was as if we shouldn't have even come out to open the shop. Even my husband was unable to go to his own shop, so he stayed in the shop.

As the rain was falling, I looked up to the compound opposite my shop and I saw this bed, the bird was under such rain and the rain was beating it. It felt like I could catch the bird and shelter it till the rain was over. I felt so much pity for the bird, it was my husband that told me that the bird was enjoying the rainfall and I just had to console myself with that.

In the night, when the rain stopped falling, we closed our shop and we went back to the house. We got back home and my husband said we should do tea and drink everyone because of the cold. So I made tea and gave it to it my kids and then I took that of myself and my husband, we went to the dining and ate together.

When we finished eating, we took our warm bath and so we went to bed everyone to sleep. Tuesday night was great because looking at how terribly hot the house had been for days and now we have cold rooms to enjoy for the night.
