The diary game || Better life with steem|| Procession of Festival
In our village, the Ayyappan temple festival was celebrated with great pomp and splendor. As part of it, it is customary to carry the deity in a procession. This year, during the procession in our village, people dressed up as various incarnations of God, and it was a beautiful sight. A chariot was designed to resemble the one in the Mahabharata where Krishna acted as Arjuna's charioteer, and it was realistically depicted with horses pulling it.
Two people, dressed as Arjuna and Krishna, were seated in it. It was so impressive that it felt like seeing Arjuna and Krishna in person. Similarly, the forms of goddesses like Lakshmi, Saraswati, and Shakti were beautifully depicted and seated on a float. Every year, it is customary in our village for people to dress up as various deities in this manner. This year, the preparations were even more elaborate.
Most notably, the scene of Shiva and Parvati seated together, dressed as the deities, gave the impression of witnessing the divine presence in person. Their costumes and decorations were incredibly realistic. Children dressed as Murugan, Ganesha, and Ayyappan, and women as Lakshmi, Saraswati, and Shakti, amazed the people.
These days, young people don't read the Mahabharata, the Ramayana, or the Bhagavad Gita. Visual presentations like these make it easy to teach them about the events of these epics. My son also watched these and asked me many questions. I then explained everything to him in detail, like telling him stories. He listened very attentively and happily. Devotion is something we must definitely teach our children, regardless of their religion. By teaching them to worship God and to have reverence for God, we can raise them to be disciplined individuals.
As they passed in the procession, people gathered on both sides of the road, watching and admiring them with reverence and awe. Everyone was taking pictures. I have also taken many pictures for you; please look at them and give me your feedback.
