The diary game || Better life with steem|| Purchasing a Sewing machine

Hi friends!

For quite some time, I had been wishing to buy a sewing machine. I already owned a manual sewing machine, but maintaining it was extremely difficult because the needle broke frequently, and it would easily accumulate dust.
Moreover, it is not something we can easily repair ourselves. If we call service technicians for repairs, they not only charge exorbitant fees but also fail to arrive on time. Consequently, I stopped using it—leaving it half rate—about four or five years ago. Since then, I haven't been able to find anyone to help me with the work; it has become extremely difficult whenever clothes need to be stitched or require alterations.

Consequently, I frequently spoke to my husband about this matter, persistently pestering him to buy a machine. Eventually, my husband agreed to purchase one for me. We then visited a sewing machine showroom in Coimbatore to explore our options.

Located in the Sukrawarpet area of Coimbatore, Sundar Machines was a prominent establishment specializing in sewing machines; it was a massive store where one could find all varieties of sewing machines. Many leading brands such as USHA, Singer, Merrit, Juki, Brother and Musee machines wre displayed in neat manner

They stocked both manual and automatic machines. Furthermore, they offered a diverse range of models tailored to specific needs—from machines suitable for beginners and individual tailors to advanced equipment designed for experts and large-scale manufacturing companies. Moreover, they provided valuable suggestions and advice to help customers determine exactly which type of machine would best suit their requirements.

For instance, if a customer is a beginner learning to sew, they recommend a standard manual machine or, alternatively, one of the most affordable basic models available within the automatic range. Conversely, for experienced tailors or shop owners, they recommend automatic machines—specifically heavy-duty models from renowned brands like Juki—while also offering specialized recommendations for industrial clients and garment manufacturing firms.

Since I possessed a reasonable knowledge of sewing and already owned a sewing machine, they recommended that I acquire this particular "Usha" brabnd's Janome model. They explained that it was a high-quality machine—fully automatic, featuring a wide variety of stitching patterns, and equipped with built-in options for buttonholes, zipper insertion, and overlocking. Furthermore, they noted that purchasing this machine entitled me to lifetime access to comprehensive sewing tutorials provided through their company website; consequently, I decided to go ahead and purchase it.

Its price was quoted at 15,500, and along with it, accessories such as thread, a measuring tape, scissors, and buttons were offered free of charge. Furthermore, purchasing this machine included a three-year warranty, as well as a promise to provide an in-home demonstration. Given these added benefits, I decided to select this particular option. They provided only a brief demonstration at the shop, stating that they would come to my home to conduct the full demonstration later; they also mentioned that they would visit two or three times to provide these demos. Consequently, I chose to proceed with this purchase.

I attempted to bargain in an effort to lower the price, but they explained that this was the fixed company price—standard across India—and that no price reduction was possible. Since it appeared they would not lower the cost, I made the payment to the representative via PhonePe, collected the machine, and returned home.

They have mentioned that they will be coming over for two days to set up a demo for this. At that time, I plan to unbox it and post another diary entry; I hope you will enjoy it as well.

💚THANK YOU 💚
