The Dairy Game - What the skies tell me on. Pt 1 : I think I saw Venus / 13th April 2026
This might just be Venus because all LLMs and Google reverse search agrees, I could be wrong though but it's too alike.
Hello everyone on Steemit, it's Kwame Wilson and I haven't been on Steemit since my intro, I made the intro and didn't come back to check, I was actually only testing the system to see but I think it's time to engage.
I see a lot of people doing the Diary Game challenge, I might put a niche spin on mine. I like looking at the sky especially the night sky, watching the moon, stars and hoping to see with my naked eye anything else. I have learned a lot about the sky and what it tells us based on the way it looks so I'll share some thoughts and facts with you as I keep observing.
The picture I took was taken yesterday and edited right before I posted. What you're looking at is a twilight sky which I took during a period officially called the blue hour which is what comes after sunset then to the dark night.
If ever you wondered why the deep blue color happened, it happens when our sun is far enough below the horizon that only shorter blue wavelengths of light can reach the upper atmosphere and then scatter down which is why our eyes see that kind of blue.
You could tell it's likely to rain but it didn't rain. Sometimes the clouds gather but it doesn't always mean it'll rain. I'm sure you've experienced this so many times in your life. You thought it would rain but it didn't.
I spotted a big star which was clear enough even when the thick clouds were gathering. And it was a lone star so there is a high chance that I was looking at Venus. I had to do a Google image reverse search to find out whether it was true and everything told me that I could have been looking at Venus. The reason behind this is that most of the time since Venus is so bright it is the star that shows first. There is a reason why they call Venus the evening star and that's the reason.
So in as much as the clouds had gathered and had formed a thick zone, that part showing Venus was clear sky.
It was a beautiful evening. Thank you for reading and this evening I am looking forward to watching the sky and I'll tell you what I found. Enjoy the rest of your day friends.
