Creativewriting: Sunday, the Grand finale Celebration of Christian Girls in Training(CGIT) Emphasis Week

Each year, the Presbyterian church of Nigeria (PCN) usually slated a weekly program to celebrate every arms in the church, it usually start with women's wigs known as women's guilds in March, followed by children in May, then father's in June, Youth emphasis on August and girls October.

It is often a weekly program with varieties of activities in each day. So, these week sunday was for Christian Girls in Training (CGIT) Emphasis Celebration that started from Monday which I'm going to share the details of their activities in each days, the program is crafted based on the general theme of the entire church.
So, these year church theme is "A Vessels for Honour craved from 2nd Timothy 2:21, which read;

So if anyone purifies himself from these things, he will be a special instrument, set apart, useful to the master, prepared for every good work.

The topic for this year emphasis was the "girls God uses ".
The week's Activities are outline below;

Sunday 19th October, 2025: pulpit Announcement/ publicity and national flag off to kick off the emphasis week.
A copy of the programme of activities were given to the minister in charge of the parish/ session for pulpit announcement on that Sunday.
Monday 20th October, 2025
Opening ceremony; the national emphasis week celebration for 2025 begins with opening ceremony by the minister in charge, here all the girls turn up with their official uniform

and other people join in the official opening to receive a charge by minister and the week is declared open for other activities to run smoothly.

Tuesday 21st October, 2025
Tuesday was scheduled for debate on the topic: Girls who are close to their mothers make better housewives than those close to their fathers, different wings send in their representative for the debate it was a rewarding session after the end of the debate as people air out their mind.

Wednesday 22nd October, 2025
Teaching on father-daughter relationship.
Topic: Dealing with sexual harassment of the girl child from some father's and close associates of the family; sexual harassment is becoming rampant in many homes caused by father's and other members of the immediate family which cause a lot of emotional trauma to the girl child that's why our church brought this topic to the public for father's to discuss and suggest possible solution to this great menace.

Thursday 23rd October, 2025

Thursday was scheduled for bible study to reflect on the word of God on the topic: "Holy vessel's for holy use"

Different study point where considered and people discuss intensely.

Friday 24th October, 2025;

Seminar, mother- daughter relationship, the seminar was organized by the parish women's guilds on home management, the women's guilds present special gifts to all the girls about the seminar like (bathing soap).

Saturday 25th October,2025
Was another session, hand on desk practical on bakery and pastries.

Sunday 26th October,2025;

Yeah, the activities was sum up and brought to conclusion with varieties of activities, the girls mount the pulpit to preach, moderate the service from the beginning to the end of the service.
Finally, part two activities also took place which was fund raising and award presentation.

It was a rewarding service and week filled with activities .
