Saturday comes with a lot of chores and responsibilities especially for those who are working class from Monday to Friday, they barely have time to attend to family chores and needs, this makes weekend to be very demanding for them.
Unlike me, I am always busy from monday because I need to visit my farm on regular basis sometimes twice a day to carry out the necessary routine that are essential.
Early in the morning like every other day when I woke up, I usually observed my personal morning devotion first before doing any other things. So , saturday was not different,so I started my day with my usual quite time before stepping outside to unfold days chores.
Yeah, I actually need to cook because saturday is a preferred day for me to cook soup and I was having in mind to prepare our favorite and popular delicacy Afang Soup popularly known as Gnetum Africanum. It as a lot of operation to be carried out before achieving the real meal.
Here's how I Started;
It all started by plugging Gnetum Africanum leave, I plugged from the lower part that makes it looks very dirty and I had to washed it several times to make it clear

So, after several times of washing to make it clear, I wilt it immediately to drain the moisture before slicing it with knife, cutting board and tray

After slicing I wrapped it in a nylon, I quickly rush to take my shower get dressed and ready for market, so I carried with me the sliced afang leave so that I can grind it in the market.

Afternoon met me in the market while buying my cooking stuff so I got back home to continue with my cooking chores, I quickly prepare the meat, stockfish, fish, periwinkle, Pomo spice them and steam while washing water leaf, sliced and cut okra into small pieces.

After everything was set, I cooked the soup immediately without further wasting time, within a short while the soup was ready and I boiled water to prepare swallow that will be used in eating the soup, I make a sizable quantity of garri that will be enough for everyone.

Since everyone was not around to eat at the same time, I had to share it so that anytime each person come back he/she can eat his own food with disturbance

But the garri was free so anyone can cut the size they could finish.

In the evening, I was tired and exhausted but I had to finish up with my chores, so I had to summarize by preparing calcium supplement for my snails.
So I crushed the shell I had already screened and dry and the calcium supplement ready to be served

Finally, I took my evening shower to freshen up and feel relief from my exhaustion and I felt refreshing.
That was how my Saturday Chores unfolded and ended.
