THE DIARY GAME: FROM KITCHEN DUTIES TO SISTER VIBES (11/12/2025)

Greetings my Steemian family in @HindwhaleCommunity I know you all are doing great🥰 This blog captures a typical yet fulfilling day in my life, from preparing for work in the morning to handling duties at my assigned post, and winding down at home with my sister. It’s a blend of productivity and connection that made the day memorable.

I started off my day getting ready for work, focused and prepared for the responsibilities ahead, I knew the day was going to be busy cause we had a full house since the week started. It was really tough navigating through the week cause we have a lot of work and we are also understaffed. Once at my workplace, I resumed at work in the kitchen, ready to take on whatever the day brought. It turned out to be quite a busy day, with a steady flow of tasks that kept everyone on their feet. The energy in the kitchen was intense, but I welcomed it.

One of the highlights of the day was being allowed to prepare an order of jollof rice and peppered turkey from the scratch without any help although i was supervised while doing it but I still did on my own.

It felt rewarding to take charge of the meal, from seasoning to plating — and seeing the final outcome gave me a small sense of accomplishment. The aroma, the color, and the effort all came together perfectly. It was rated by the Chef in taste and accuracy and she was soo proud of me and I was proud of myself too.

After wrapping up my duties, I headed home, looking forward to some rest cause it has been a busy day indeed. Not long after, my sister came by to visit. We spent time together, talking, vibing, and enjoying each other’s company, the kind of sister time that makes you feel grounded and relieved. We ended the day with dinner, bringing a sense of calm and completion to the busy hours that had passed. It was one of those days where everything aligned just right (work, food, and family).
