A Day Spent With A Friend Closed To My Heart

One of the things that beautify our days are moments we spend doing things that profits our bodies and spending time with friends close to our hearts, today was such day anyway and I had a time with this my Nigerian Friend called Temmy, am I free to tell you briefly about Temmy?

I was still in contact with Temmy when I was in Nigeria, she was still playing for Bayelsa Angels when I met her, we had this closeness, she was a sweet soul even till now. There are moments I grew weak because I was still struggling with the stigma of people seeing me and calling me a man but Temmy would always remind me of how beautiful and well built I am.

I remember on several occasions she would stand up for me even at the mall before she left to Israel, when Ashdod Fc needed a goal-keeper, she wasn't he one that introduced me to them and from there, I got signed and the rest is history now.

When I came over here, she will tell me to come over to her flat to spend some times with her, she took me walking to lots of places and I wish I can repay her for all these wonderful things she has done for me.

Today, when I woke up, I called her and she told me she is a bit down, I was worried and honestly I don't go to gym in the morning but I had to think of a way to take her out of the house, I know she is still having issues going on in her relationship but I never knew it will take a toll on her. We came to the gym and she wasn't doing anything, okay I didn't really want her to do anything, I just wanted to talk to her because the gym has always been her favorite place.

We talked and she told me the plans her man has to marry someone else because he feels she might not have time to raise a family with him due to the nature of her work, I can actually relate to this because I have been there and I know how hard it has always been to get through it. When we talked for a while, she was back to doing her hobby (gyming).

Before we left the gym, my friend was already smiling, I was happy, if Temmy is down, I am down, if she is happy I am happy, don't get me wrong please, my happiness is not tied to hers but as someone that has been an integral part of my life, anything that affects her happiness indirectly affects me.

After the gym session, I followed her to her flat then took her things, she will be staying with me for the time being and then when we stayed till evening, I asked her to join me to the training session we had today, she was training beside me, I made sure she wasn't out of sight either. And I am the one at this extreme while she is the person after me.

When we came back, we went strolling and then bought a steak on our way till it was late, we had to come back and rest because she has a job to deliver this night. Say a word of prayers for Temmy, wish her quick recovery from this trauma friends, I will really be grateful.
