Petition to bring back single function items(pink mp3 player unboxing)
Hey steemit family
I am so excited to share my newest obsession with you.
Let’s begin by establishing that I am a big music lover. so about a week ago I was doom scrolling on TikTok like I usually do and I came across a silver iPod unboxing video I immediately became hooked to it because like I said earlier I love music and discovering a gadget that is mainly for listening to music felt like exactly what I needed.
In a world dominated by smartphones that constantly buzz with notifications and social media distractions the thought of a single function item felt refreshing and I wanted a way to just sit back, relax and listen to albums without my phone begging for my attention.
So,naturally,I had to get my hands on one. Most of the iPods that were displayed online were a boring silver color, but after hours of searching for the perfect iPod I found it in the most gorgeous pink metallic color and without thinking twice I immediately ordered it.
But the moment I hit order,I stumbled upon a TikTok comment that made my heart drop, it said “Just don’t buy it from Temu”and guess where mine is from,Temu.I was so scared because i thought I had just ordered a piece of metallic junk but I didn’t really have an option than to trust the process and keep the order because that was the only place I could find that gorgeous pink color.
Fast forward to delivery day,it finally arrived
And honestly,Visually, it was an absolute dream, the pink color was just perfect I even got a super cute wavy retro sun pattern pouch for it.But baby, setting it up tried my absolute patience.First I put the micro SD card in it and it kept acting like a tiny trampoline, shooting straight back out at me
I was ready to throw it away but luckily it turned out the spring loaded slots just needed a very deep click with my finger in order for it to sit perfectly.
But the drama didn’t even stop there. When I tried to load music on it kept hitting me with “unsupported file format” errors because of buggy online converters. This turned into a whole evening tech project but after help from my brother I was finally able to load songs on it.
Honestly, manually downloading your music hits so different than just opening an app,it makes the music feel like it belongs to you.The absolute first song I put on my iPod was “losing you by Solange”putting in my wired headphones and listening to her dreamy voice was the ultimate aesthetic experience.it felt so peaceful and nostalgic and looking back I’m glad I didn’t listen to that comment about it being a piece of junk.It is the perfect addition to my daily routine and I currently have 66 songs on it.

Have you ever bought a nostalgic tech gadget? What song would you load first on a pink iPod? Let me know in the comments.
