SLC S-30-W1// "Tradional Steam Cooking-Idlis"
"Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem"
This is @tammanna from #Bangladesh.
Friends, how are you all? I hope you are well, and I am also well, Alhamdulillah. Today, I have come to you with a great recipe. This is a dish that people in Bangladesh eat very little of, but the demand for this food is increasing day by day, so today I have made it and will share all the methods with you. I would like to thank everyone for organizing today's contest. Let's start without further delay.
What is traditional steam cooking? Why is it considered healthy?
The popularity and quantity of this traditional steamed dish are increasing day by day. Many years ago, such dishes were popular, but as time went by, we gradually lost this dish. However, people are once again using the old tradition and making it accordingly. People are leaning towards junk food day by day because now, with the increasing demand for human diseases and ailments, as per the advice of doctors, we need to add such foods to our diet to eat less oily and spicy foods, where we can serve a nutritious meal on our dining table without oil. Also, making these steamed foods does not require much hassle. You only need to use a mixture of rice and lentils. The food can be prepared completely through steaming and served. This is a very helpful food for children, where we can eat soft, fluffy food with or without any soshe. It is very convenient. We can serve this very tasty and beneficial food hot, and the demand is increasing day by day, which is very healthy for us.
Make the Idlis that are shared in the course or make them as per your style, with a detailed step-by-step procedure along with images.

The Process of receipe
🟫 Step 01
🥮First, I soaked the rice and dal along with the fenugreek overnight.
🥮Then in the morning, I will blend the soaked rice, lentils, and fenugreek in a blender.
🟫 Step 02
🥮Then, once blended, pour it into a bowl.
🥮My blended rice seemed a little tough, so I thinned it out by adding a little more of the soaked rice water.
🥮Then I added salt to taste here.
🥮Then I added a small amount of baking powder here.
🟫 Step 03
🥮Then I cover it with a lid and let it rest for about eight hours.
🥮Then, after half an hour, I will see that my rice paste has formed some bubbles on top. This is ready for the cooking process, and the rice part is ready to prepare my idli.
🟫 Step 04
🥮Then I filled a pan with enough water and let it heat on the stove until the water was boiling.
🥮Then, I put a filter with small and large drops on top.
🥮Then I took three small steel bowls.
🥮Then I'll oil the bowls and brush them well.
🟫 Step 05
🥮Once the oil is brushed on, I will use a spoon to scoop the rice into three equal portions into a steel bowl.
🥮This way, I will divide the rice evenly into three bowls.
🟫 Step 06
🥮Then, when my water is hot enough, I'll put the bowls on top of the job there.
🥮I will put three bowls, one after the other, on the strainer like this.
🥮Then I will cover it with a lid and wait for 15 minutes.
🥮Then I will carefully check with a slotted spoon whether the idlis are cooked properly.
🟫 Step 07
🥮My idlis are ready because I tested the inside with a fork, and the fork came out dry, so I will take them out and serve them on a bar plate.

It is nice to see you making idlis at home. Steaming is a very healthy way to cook food and these look very soft. I like that you explained why people are moving back to traditional foods for their health.
