History of the tie!
The tie is a decorative garment that is worn around the neck beneath the collar of silk or some other canvas. The tie is considered to be the original Croatian product and spread to Europe in the 17th century through the Croatian soldiers in the Thirty Years War, where it became a recognizable fashion detail.
The word cravat comes from the French word "croata". In his book La Grande Historie de la Cravate, the French author Francois Chaille, says The next:
" About 1635, some six thousand soldiers and knights, arrived in Paris to support King Louis XIII. among them was a large number of Croatian mercenaries who, led by the ban, remained in the service of the French king. The traditional dress with tied, painted, maroon-shaped necklaces inspired the attention of the French court. The scarves were made of different materials, from rough, worn by ordinary soldiers, to silk and cotton-wool men worn by officers. This "Croatian elegant style", completely unknown in what was then Europe, was around 1650 accepted in the French court and became a fashion garment among the bourgeoisie of that time as a symbol of culture and elegance. "
In last decade Croatia is make more effort to promote us As a country of tie. Every year we celebrate a Day of tie, and all cultural statues are on some Way marked with tie.
