Introduction

It's a new year and I am happy and excited to share my first post for the year. It's been rough for me, not in a bad way though, as I have been busy with a whole lot of personal activities.

I'm happy that the season ended well and a lot of users are back blogging as usual. I just resumed for the year. I hope to keep up the energy as the year progresses.

Meanwhile, here's my review on steemit crypto academy

So far I have been an active participant in all seasons of the crypto academy from season 1 to 5 and a one-time season 3 superstar.

What worked well with the Academy?

To me, the mode of arrangement, that kicked off officially in season 3, was a good thought for the academy. It allowed users to pick from various categories to write from. I preferred the method of arrangement from beginners to intermediate and advanced.

It was quite difficult earlier for most users in the first and second season because it was scattered. When the new technique was introduced it even became easier for the professors to track each assignment and grade while the curator’s curated.

What did not work well?

Well, I didn't have a problem with the steemit crypto team but if I am to make changes, it will be in the grading system. Some professors make their review so ambiguous that the student fails to notice the fault the professor must have noticed that resulted in a little lesser grade.

How would you improve the Academy?

If I can, I would improve the quality of posts delivered by professors in some weeks. Aside from Grammarly corrections, the content does not tally with the questions to be answered.

What changes would you make for future seasons of the Academy?

Professors go as long as expecting students to use funds to facilitate transactions for the assignment. That aspect should be reduced drastically because a lot of students can't afford to do it and the few that do so don't get good grades. That's a major change I would implement in the academy for future seasons. At least one monetary transaction is enough for a week.

Another one would be the rules of participation. A lot of prospective crypto academy authors don't get a chance to write because of the academy rules. From reputation, steem power, club5050 rule, and many more. While it's easy for me to adjust to these rules, I would change it in a way that it's flexible for many users who might find the crypto academy interesting to participate in.

What did you think of the marking scheme for Academy posts? And the rewards available?

Well, the marking scheme might seem fair but the rewards allocation isn't enough to balance the grade. A lot of users consider the effort and time put in to write, hoping to get a good reward, only to be disappointed by the reward available. An appreciable increase in the rewards would serve as an encouragement to new and existing authors in the Blockchain.

What I enjoyed most in the and what I learned from the Academy?

I enjoyed the fact that I had to write every week on a new or continuing topic. It gave me something to always look forward to. It kept me busy and I loved it.

I learned new things every day from the lectures delivered by the professors. I learned how to construct a plagiarized free article and make good research. It would have taken me a while to do so in the long run.

Has the academy inspired you to continue learning more about crypto subjects? If so, how and where have you extended your crypto learning?

Well, technically to write the assignments, I was able to learn more about crypto subjects. I can't say much about it because of my previous knowledge of crypto. It didn't change anything while writing for the academy. It only enhanced my writing skills.

Has the academy inspired you to start trading in cryptocurrencies? If so, which ones

I'm still in the learning process. The knowledge I get from the academy isn't enough for me to start trading but it has inspired me. I only try with a demo account which comes out good and bad. When I am ready to cross that bridge of trading with real currencies, I will make it known.
