Introduction

Hi Steemians,

Our academy moderators wish you a good start to the week full of energy and enthusiasm so that many of you participate in the last week of this Season 10 of commitment to the challenges with all its competitions and we also give a special dedication special to the wonderful members of the Steemit Crypto Academy Community who have remained loyal to our contests and provide worthy content with the good knowledge they acquire, which has greatly benefited all users of the platform.

We therefore welcome you to the tenth week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge, and we hope that we discover new users who meet all the conditions and who have a good level of writing.

This new week will be held from tomorrow, Monday July 10 at 0:00 UTC 0:00 UTC and will end next Sunday, July 16 23:59 UTC. Participate to help enrich your platform through your publications, as well as to interact with your colleagues by leaving relevant comments and votes.

What is delegation on the Steem Blockchain?

For a clearer definition/explanation of the concept of delegation on the Steem blockchain, let's go back to the Steem Blockchain whitepaper.

According to the Steem white paper, delegation is the temporary lending of Steem Power to another user.

When you perform an delegation, you are essentially giving away your service points, essentially your Steem tokens for the benefit of the recipient. It is important to note that delegating is different from borrowing.

When you delegate to a user, you have full control over the delegation, the user will definitely enjoy the benefits that come with delegations, but they don't have the number of delegated Steem Power in addition to their Steem Power, therefore, you will not lose Steem Power after delegation.

You can think of delegation as sharing a pen with one person, but that pen is tightly attached to your arms and you can take it out whenever you want. This can be seen as sharing a piece of the painting with someone to take pictures (as seen below), they have the benefit of being considered the owner, even if they are not.

What do we expect from the competition?

For old and new blockchain users, there is definitely something interesting to learn about delegation. So, in this contest, I will explore in depth the concept of delegation and how to get the most out of it.

Therefore, in this competition, we ask the following questions:

Explain in your own words the delegation process on the Steem blockchain, how does it work? What are its main goals? And Is it a safe process?
Have you ever delegated SP amount to a user or community before? If so, tell us, did you do so voluntarily or at the request of the party you delegated to it? And why did you withdraw your delegation?
Do you delegated SP without worrying about using it as long as you collect your daily or monthly fees?
Are you with or against the SP delegation to the communities? Why? If accepted, on what criteria will your choice of society be based?
Are you with or against the SP delegation to users without benefits in return? Why? If you agree, on what criteria will your choice of user be based?

Contest Guidelines

Post your articles in the Steemit Crypto Academy community. The participation time is between Monday, July 10th, 2023, 00:00 UTC to Sunday, July 16th, 2023, 23:59 UTC.
The article should be at minimum 500 words. You can write more. Your article must be free of any form of plagiarism.
Your article title should be Steemit Crypto Academy Contest / S10W6 - Delegation On The Steem Blockchain . Add the tag #cryptoacademy-s10w6 and other relevant tags.
Participants must be appropriately following #club5050 or #club75 or #club100.
Participants must be verified and active users on the platform.
The community moderators would be leaving quality assessments on your articles and probable upvotes.
In addition, your article must get at least 10 upvotes and 5 valid comments to count as valid in the contest, so ensure you interact with other users' entries. Do not be involved in vote-buying.

Rewards

SC01 would be checking on the entire 7 participating communities and upvoting outstanding content. Upvote is not guaranteed for all articles. Kindly take note.

At the end of the week, we would nominate top 3 users that had performed well in the contest and they would be eligible for votes from SC01/SC02.

Important Notice: The nomination of the top 3 users in our community is not based on good grades alone, it includes their general engagements (quality and quantity of their interactions with other users' articles) to measure the overall performance. Also note that generally, you can only make one post per day in the Steemit Engagement Challenge.

Conclusion

In the end, we all have a reason to delegate or not delegate our STEEM energy. Just make sure you are comfortable with what you are using STEEM POWER for, and support projects that are of your conscience.

Por tanto, le damos la bienvenida a la décima semana del Steemit Engagement Challenge, y esperamos que descubramos nuevos usuarios que cumplan con todas las condiciones y que tengan un buen nivel de escritura.

¿Qué es la delegación en Steem Blockchain?

Para una definición/explicación más clara del concepto de delegación en la cadena de bloques de Steemit, volvamos al documento técnico de Steem Blockchain.

Según el libro blanco de Steem, la delegación es el préstamo temporal de Steem Power a otro usuario.

Cuando realiza una delegación, esencialmente está regalando sus puntos de servicio, esencialmente sus tokens Steem para el beneficio del destinatario. Es importante señalar que delegar es diferente de pedir prestado.

Cuando delega a un usuario, tiene control total sobre la delegación, el usuario definitivamente disfrutará de los beneficios que vienen con las delegaciones, pero no tienen la cantidad de Steem Power delegado además de su Steem Power, por lo tanto, usted no perder Steem Power después de la delegación.
