To start things off, our academy moderators send their warm greetings for a fantastic beginning to this first week of the 13th season, filled with energy and enthusiasm. We are excited to have many of you join us for the last week of the twelfth season, which is dedicated to various challenges and competitions. We would like to give a special shout-out to the outstanding members of our Steemit Crypto Academy community who have consistently participated in our contests and consistently provided valuable content, sharing the knowledge they've acquired, which benefits all users on this platform.
With great enthusiasm, we invite you to participate in the 1st week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 13. We are eager to discover new users who meet all the requirements and exhibit a commendable level of writing.
This upcoming week will begin from tomorrow, Monday, October 16th, at 00:00 UTC and will end on Sunday, October 22th, at 23:59 UTC. We encourage you to get involved by contributing to the platform through your posts and engaging with your fellow members through thoughtful comments and relevant votes.
What is Token Swap?
A token swap, or replacement of tokens, is the operation by which a temporary token becomes a “permanent” token. Concretely, it involves transferring crypto assets from one blockchain protocol to another.
It is possible when you buy crypto assets that their issuer grants you temporary tokens. However, at the end of a date and terms agreed by the parties, the temporary token transforms into a definitive token.
Therefore, the exchange of financial tokens and token swap do not correspond to the same operation.
What do we expect from the competition?
Use your own words to define what a token swap is, and interpret the fate of this group of tokens when the final tokens are created.
Explain why do blockchains perform a swap? and is this operation essential during its launches?
Show how such blockchain which performed token swap? take an existing example.
Has Steem Blockchain already performed token swap? If so, tell us how. If not, do you think it would have been better that used it?
Are there any risks when using it?
Contest Guidelines
The article should be at minimum 500 words. You can write more. Your article must be free of any form of plagiarism.
Your article title should be Steemit Crypto Academy Contest / S13W1 -Token Swap . Add the tag #cryptoacademy-s13w1 and other relevant tags.
Participants must be appropriately following #club5050 or #club75 or #club100.
Participants must be verified and active users on the platform.
The community moderators would be leaving quality assessments on your articles and probable upvotes.
In addition, your article must get at least 10 upvotes and 5 valid comments to count as valid in the contest, so ensure you interact with other users' entries. Do not be involved in vote-buying.
Rewards
- SC01 would be checking on the entire 7 participating communities and upvoting outstanding content. Upvote is not guaranteed for all articles. Kindly take note.
- At the end of the week, we would nominate top 3 users that had performed well in the contest and they would be eligible for votes from SC01/SC02.
Important Notice: The nomination of the top 3 users in our community is not based on good grades alone, it includes their general engagements (quality and quantity of their interactions with other users' articles) to measure the overall performance. Also note that generally, you can only make one post per day in the Steemit Engagement Challenge.
Conclusion
The concept of token swap, or replacement of tokens, is quite simple to understand. Generally, only projects that have an internal blockchain and have financed themselves via an ICO should carry out such a swap.

¿Qué es el intercambio de tokens?
Un intercambio de tokens, o reemplazo de tokens, es la operación mediante la cual un token temporal se convierte en un token "permanente". Concretamente, implica transferir criptoactivos de un protocolo blockchain a otro.
Es posible que cuando compras criptoactivos su emisor te otorgue tokens temporales. Sin embargo, al finalizar una fecha y términos acordados por las partes, el token temporal se transforma en un token definitivo.
Por tanto, el intercambio de tokens financieros y el swap de tokens no corresponden a la misma operación.
¿Qué esperamos de la competencia?
