Se formó como artista plástico en la Real Academia Danesa de Bellas Artes, durante los años 1867 y 1873.

En el año 1884 recibió una beca y viajó a Italia para ampliar sus conocimientos de arte.

En sus obras se observan escenas al aire libre, en espacios interiores, temáticas religiosas, de género y de animales.

Fue profesor en la Escuela Femenina de la Academia Danesa, durante el período 1908- 1920.

Contrajo nupcias con la pintora danesa Ingeborg Plockross.

Entre los premios que recibió destacan: "Medalla Eckersberg" (1889), "Orden de Dannebrog" (1915) y "Cruz de honor" (1925).

Falleció el 10 de febrero de 1938 en Copenhague.

This distinguished visual artist was born on December 29, 1850, in Copenhagen.

He trained as a visual artist at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts between 1867 and 1873.

In 1884, he received a scholarship and traveled to Italy to further his art studies.

His works feature outdoor and indoor scenes, religious themes, genre scenes, and animal subjects.

He taught at the Danish Academy's Women's School from 1908 to 1920.

He married the Danish painter Ingeborg Plockross.

Among the awards he received are: the Eckersberg Medal (1889), the Order of the Dannebrog (1915), and the Cross of Honor (1925).

He died on February 10, 1938, in Copenhagen.
