Art (I drew my cover photo)
Yesterday afternoon I felt very inspired. Ideas and inspiration came to me, and I felt like painting. What did I paint? Well, a little penguin that represents my Steemit cover photo. I really like this photo, so I decided to draw it. I hope you like it; I put a lot of effort into this painting.
The first thing I did was select my main materials, which were going to be the paper and the pencil, and I will also be using colors:
The second thing I did was draw the corners of the little penguin, that is, the outlines, to have a guide for its appearance and start doing the other details:
As a third step, I drew the tummy, face, eyes, and mouth. I didn't draw this part in much detail since I was just using it as a guide.
In the fourth step, I moved on to adding details to the face, the tummy, the eyes and the mouth, pressing the pencil a little harder so that these details stood out more.
Now it's finally time to draw. In this step, I started by drawing the eyes with different colors.
I shaded the left eye with a bit of skin tone and the right with a bit of light green, creating the illusion of a realistic eye. I also drew the pupils in white with a bluish tint at the bottom, and added black and white to give them a highlighting effect. To finish the eyes, I drew the back of the eye in white.
In the mouth area, I colored the tips of the beak: the lower part a darker orange with a little black to give the effect of the underside, the upper part a lighter orange, and the belly white.
Here I proceeded to draw its body in black, in some places I gave it lighter tones to give a kind of lighting effect, also on the head I added a black color next to the white indicating the snow it had and finally I colored its small legs orange and black.
In the last photo, I simply went over the pencil lines with a marker and added a bright, light blue background. And that's how I finished the drawing.
I loved drawing this penguin and put a lot of effort into making it look good. It's a pleasure to draw and create for this community. I hope you like it. See you later.

Why did you take that for your cover?
Thank you so much for all the support, friend. Why did I decide to use this photo as my cover photo? Great question!
Before joining Steemit, I had a jigsaw puzzle game on my phone that I played a lot. These puzzles were mostly of animals and landscapes. One of them was of a little penguin. It was easy to put together, but once I did, I loved it because it had some special features. It was small and helpless, and that's how I was when I started on Steemit.
Time passed, and that profile picture was with me through thick and thin. I met great friends, learned so much from them, and that picture was always there. That's why, every time I see it, I remember my beginnings on Steemit, and over time it has become a treasured memory.
This is the story behind this cover photo.
Thank you so much for all your help, see you later.

This is really a great story behind your avatar. I love it and thank you for taking the time to explain it. Now that the little one is even more precious and.. before you know it, it's a big, strong penguin.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it! 🤩 Thank you for your kind words; I almost cried 😅. I really appreciate it. Thanks, friend!
I found it an interesting story. I haven't thought about my avatar too much. It's just the black cat peeping around. I like black cats (and yellow not at all 😄).
Thanks, don't worry, your avatar is great.
Cats are lovely, especially yellow ones. I've heard they're friendlier and more curious about people. I like cats too, although I've never raised one, haha. (It's great that you like cats; they're amazing animals!)
See you later.
