Incredible India Monthly Contest of March #2: The highest time I watched a movie!
Assalamu Alaikum

We all have some movies in our lives that never get old even after watching them over and over again. In my case, that movie is the Bollywood movie 'Meri Pyaari Bindu'. It may sound strange, but I have watched this movie about 25 to 30 times so far and I find it equally appealing every time. The biggest reason why this movie is so dear to me is its pure 'realism', usually we see in commercial movies that the hero and heroine meet at the end of the story and everything ends like a fairy tale. There are many times unnecessary emotions and forced drama. However, 'Meri Pyaari Bindu' is completely different, there is no unnecessary emotion or fake drama here. The movie is full of real-life images. In real life, love is not always about getting things done, but rather about two different people walking on different paths, and there can be respect and beautiful feelings for each other, which is beautifully revealed in this movie. Its very realistic presentation and the natural flow of life draw me back to this movie again and again.

My answer is— Yes, of course it does. The current time is the era of short videos and fast-paced social media. It can be said that patience is no longer there among people, but even in the crowd of fast-paced entertainment, a good movie has maintained its own power. When we sit down to watch a good movie for two to two and a half hours, we become completely separated from the outside world. Cinema takes us to a completely new world. It is not just a means of passing time, but it is also a tool to awaken our world of thoughts. This art of cinema is truly unparalleled in calming the mind from daily work pressure, mental fatigue and frustration. It also works as a mental therapy for all of us.

If there is a comparison between movies and series, I personally prefer watching series. Because a story is only worthwhile when the character in the story comes alive. The biggest problem with movies is their time, a story has to be completed in just two to three hours, as a result of which the director does not get enough time to build up a character even if he wants to. And because of this, in most cases, the story ends before the depth of the character reaches the audience. On the other hand, in a series, the director gets the opportunity to tell a story across several episodes or seasons, and if you think about it from the perspective of weaving and building the story, a director can very accurately portray the backstory of each character in the series, their psychological changes and evolution. If a character cannot be emotionally connected to the audience, there is no point in watching that entertainment or story, in the case of series, there is an opportunity for the audience to connect with the characters, so I prefer series as a medium of entertainment. I am inviting three of my friends to participate in this competition.
