Incredible India Monthly Contest of March #2: The highest time I watched a movie!
My response to the @meraindia contest for March - The highest time I watched a movie!
I will like to invite @jyoti-thelight, @ahlawat and @hotspotitaly to participate in this contest
Since I am a movie buff, I will like to answer this question. Right from my childhood time I have enjoyed watching movies and I still do. My husband also shares this likeness so I have company to enjoy movies. I enjoy watching movies in cinema hall then home. Normally on a weekend our movie plan is fixed. On Friday a new movie gets released and we watch it on Saturday in the cinema hall. I enjoy watching Hindi as well as English movies.
There are many movies that I am fond of, but this one movie has been a delightful experience for me and I have watched it the most in the cinema hall. Nowadays we have convenience of watching all movies at home. Within a month of two they get released on OTT platforms so even if I miss it in cinema hall it's ok.
30 years back there were no OTT platforms and I would watch all movies in cinema halls. They were all one time watch.

Which movie I saw for the highest time
In 1991 there was this movie Saajan which got released, I was a teenager then and I had huge crush on Salman Khan. I would watch all his movies on the first weekend of release. In those days movies would run in cinema halls for weeks, some good movies would go as long as 25 weeks. Salman Khan was new and a hit and whenever his movies would release the ticket would get sold out on day 1 of booking. I would reach the cinema hall, 2 hours before the booking window would open and make sure to get the ticket, if I miss that part then I would surely buy it in black, which was very common then.
Saajan, got released and I got my ticket for the first day show itself, I was totally in love with the movie. After few days, some of my friends wanted to see, and I joined them, then one of my aunt wanted to see and I took her, like that I saw the movie for 7 times in cinema hall in a span of 3 months and that was crazy. Anyone I knew, who wanted to see the movie, I would tag along with them :-) I was that crazy for him....haha. Now I can laugh at myself for being so stupid. It's ok, I enjoyed that age and those moments to the fullest with all of this stupidity.

The modern era movies
I am still fond of watching movies, but the recent time movies I am not enjoying much, they are filled with violence, and it's gross violence, which you feel dirty to watch. So much of bloodshed in the recent times movies and some gruesome scenes. I feel dizzy at times watching such movies, so now I am avoiding all such movies. On OTT platforms also there are not many good movies, a lot of vulgarity in language, nudity, all of this is filled in the recent movies. It keeps increasing by the day. I believe that these people feel that the audience is enjoying it, and I guess some of them do, but I do not.
The kind of entertainment that I enjoy
I enjoy movies that are based on real life stories, space fiction, comedy and romantic movies. As it is there is so much stress around in the world and who wants more of it from movies. Movies are meant for entertainment purpose and when you finish watching them, you should have a good feeling in your heart, there should be a smile on your face. Those are the movies that I enjoy. My another favorite movie has been Queen, it's an Indian movie, hilarious and gives a very good feeling while watching. The other movie that I watched couple of times is Interstellar, it's a space fiction and I love this movie. Honestly, the first time I did not understand it fully so I had to watch it second time and then one more time. Yesterday I watched Project Hail Mary and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. These are the kind of movies that I enjoy.
