The movie where love lives is a Nigerian movie that features some of my favorite movie characters like Uzor Arukwe and Bimbo Ademoye. I love these two so much! There are other actors featured too.
There are many reasons why I keep going back to see this movie and below are just a few.
- The style story telling
The movie's story telling is so captivating keeps you glue to your screen with anticipation of what will happen next. I guess this is one reason why I keep going back over and over to see it again.
The story told was about wealthy igbo man with a bad igbo accent married to a beautiful yoruba lady. The love between them was magnetic. You know money really makes loving much easier.
Family of the husband surfaces to warn their brother about the yoruba lady he married because a prophet says so. The story is so relatable to current happenings in our country where so called Pastors and prophets have broken many homes because of their so called visions and prophecies. You can not guess what happened afterwards..
- Performance of the actors
The actors especially my favorite male character in person of Uzor Arukwe did justice to his role. His carriage, accent and fashion sense was spectacular. He did justice to his role. I just loved the way he speaks and how much he loved his dear wife.
Not to forget about my female favorite actor Bimbo Ademoye. Her sense of style was incredible. How she spoke highly of her husband in public was commendable and how she stood up for herself was really impressive.
- The aim and lessons of the movie

What the producer tried to drive home to we the viewers was another reason why I kept going back. The movie showed us that genuine live is still possible no matter what we see out there in the society.
It is possible for a lady to be in love with a wealthy man and love him not because of his wealth even though the money is important. It is possible for loyalty to still be found in marriage. It is possible to love someone even in their lowest state.
It showed us not all men listen or take sides with family to be bad to their wives. The lessons passed in the movie were numerous and I love them all.
Do you believe in this modern era that this art form still brings excitement to rejuvenate ourselves, besides other art forms? Share your view! |

Yes I believe movies as work of art brings to life and make art more real than ever. It helps us relate with our world better, touching our mind and emotions, sometimes it makes us cry, other times it makes us laugh, get curious, anxious, excited or happy.
Movie for me is one of the ways I rest not just my body but my mind. It is a thing of recreation for me and I don't miss a session of it on a weekly basis.
In this modern era, this art of movie brings excitement. Have you gone to the cenema with friends or family members to see a movie before or lest say you stayed home and hosted a movie night? The communication is joy gotten is unexplainable. It relaxes all the nerves in your body because you are having a good time.
Which kind of entertainment do you enjoy the most, films or series? The rationale behind your choice! |
|---|
Generally I love movies but for sake of this question the entertainment I love the most is films. I like series but not as much as I love films.
My reasons are simply simple. I don't like the curiosity that goes with series. I just want to watch a film and get it done with. Sometimes when I see a series and the next episode is not out or is out but am yet to see it, I can get anxious about it and even start dreaming about the continuation in my dreams. Hahah
I won't like to worry myself much so I just focus on films. Another reason is because series are more expensive. How do I mean? If it's a movie on YouTube, you have to continue to download each series or watch online which the cost is higher than just watch a single film. So my choice every day is films.
Series takes more of a person's time than films. One time I sat down to see a movie with my friend back then in school. It had 20 episodes. I got tired because I wasn't use to that style but I saw how my friend didn't sleep for many nights because she was trying to finish up the series. It took her more than a week to finish up. The time she could have invested in sleep and other personal things, she used it up to watch movie series.
Compared to series, films have definite endings. But you find out that in series, the endings may not be what you think, for instance in a series someone might be killed and it's displayed that he dies, you will be surprised to find out he wasn't actually even shoot in the first place. So funny.
The suspense in series can make the movie drag so much unlike films thats why I just prefer films. Am not ready for such suspense.

Reading your post really made me feel that you don't just watch movies but also feel them from your heart. Especially your description of Where Love Lives made the movie even more interesting. Themes like love, loyalty and family issues are beautifully described by you. Reading your choice and analysis of the characters of Bimbo Ademoye and Uzor Arukwe shows that you really pay attention to detail. I especially liked how you captured the message of the film true love and loyalty so well.
