How are you all? I hope you all are safe and doing great. Today I am here with another class on 'Food Tutorials.' That is the third class of food tutorial, and today, I will share the benefits of different spices.

Spices are something we all use in our regular food;

but very few know how they work for our bodies. Food is something that everyone needs to get a healthy life.

Spices do not only enhance the taste of food;

but also helps to make the nutritional supplements, control blood sugar, and even help cholesterol levels. As spices carry anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties;

so it helps to prevent different diseases. Therefore, we can say that condiments also help get an essential part of living a healthy life.

Benefits of Different Spices:-

1.Garlic:- It works remarkably to improve our heart health, common cold, and combat sickness. Garlic is also helpful for those who are suffering from high cholesterol.

2.Ginger:- Oftenly used in our kitchen, and it has proved that 1 gram or more of ginger can successfully treat nausea. It has also been proven that regular usage of 2gm of ginger extract can reduce the chance of colon cancer.

3.Rosemary:- It helps to prevent allergies and nasal congestion. It fights to decrease nasal mucus.

4. Fenugreek:- In earlier centuries when medical science was not improved, people when medical science was not improved like now at that time people often used several herbs to treat people.

We all know that treatment is Ayurveda. Fenugreek is also used in Ayurveda; because it contains the plant protein 4-hydroxy isoleucine, which can improve the function of the hormone insulin. It also helps to control blood sugar.

5. Cayenne Pepper:- It contains capsaicin that helps to reduce appetite, and it is believed that capsaicin helps to combat certain forms of cancer, including lung, liver, and prostate cancer, but that is still under research yet 100% not proven.

6. Holy basil:- In India people worship the plant of holy basil, and almost in every house, you can see Tulsi Mancha. Apart from that, it has several health benefits- 1. fights against the common cold. 2. Alkaline the body. 3. Reduces stress 4. Promote oral health. 5. Nourishes the skin. 6. Protect the heart. 7. Eases inflammation.

7. Turmeric:- In India, people use turmeric almost in every delicacy. Turmeric has powerful antioxidants, there are several essential things we receive from turmeric;
but the most essential compound we find in it is called curcumin. That helps to fight oxidative damage and boost the body’s own antioxidant enzymes.

8. Peppermint:- A study proves that peppermint is beneficial for those women in labor. It helps to reduce nausea after surgery and C-section births. Peppermint contains oil which helps to improve pain management in irritable bowel syndrome.

9. Sage:- The people who suffer from Alzheimer's disease, sage is helpful for them. It also helps to improve our brain function and memory.
It also has healing properties and can even be used to help prevent the plague.

10. Cinnamon:- we often use cinnamon while baking and while making coffee. Apart from enhancing the taste of foods;
It also helps to lower the blood sugar level.

Because it contains a compound named cinnamaldehyde;
and has a powerful anti-diabetic effect. There are two types of cinnamon- a. Ceylon cinnamon, b. Cassia cinnamon. As

Cinnamon is burdened with Antioxidants;
so it helps to protect our body from oxidative damage caused by free radicals. It helps your body fight infections and repair tissue damage because it has Anti-Inflammatory Properties.
It also reduces the risk of heart disease.
