Announcing the Winners of the Voice of Steemit Singing Competition — Vos-25 Season 1
On the 18th of December, 6 days back, the Voice of Steemit Singing Competition — Season 1 officially came to and end and awards were given to the winners of the singing competition. This award presentation was a formal event hosted by me who happens to be the host of this show.
We started this journey 5 months back. 17 contestants fought to be on every stage, avoiding possible evictions. On the 14th of December, 2025, the four finalists we had dropped their winning performance to be determined by members of the Steemit platform on who would ace the competition. The following day, voting commenced and members of the Steemit platform were invited to the show, virtually. Although the invitation wasn't planned, we have a good number in attendance. How did it go? Let me give you details
Securing the Place and Arranging the Awards |
|---|
The venue for the award presentation was set the night before Thursday, but the awards were arranged on Thursday. The event was slated to commence by 2pm. Provision were made for entertainment as I budgeted 20k for the refreshments that's why I didn't invite people to come to the physical event center. Some of the things I budgeted were;
- Drinks
- Nkwobi
- Plantain and sauce
These were budgeted for only 4 persons, but I ended up spending out of my budget to entertain a few guests who wanted to witness the presentation live and direct.

Arrival of the Host |
|---|
By 1:30pm, the host was live. I came in my prestige, wearing a Yoruba dress called Agbada. This dress is worn by big men and I drew my inspiration from a television channel show who wears this on every outing. I wore neck beads and held a staff to make it complete. I never knew this outfit would fit me in this way.

I came in stunning, everyone turned their eyes towards my direction in awe, calling me the groom who's going to meet his bride. I met @us-andrew, @sampson01, @glorystar21 and @bee5. We took pictures while waiting for the event to go live on WhatsApp.
The Disappointment |
|---|
The stage was set for the show to go live, but the owner of the event centre wasn't on seat and he said if he's not around, no one else can turned on the generator for us to use for our event. This was so annoying because I explained it to him in time. Though there was a little misunderstanding between his DJ and him being the manager, I'll put the blame on the DJ for not updating me with necessary information.
Without the sound system, we couldn't start and one of our contestant wasn't on seat. So I had to apologise to everyone who waited for the slated time to join the event. It was adjusted to 3pm when the manager and owner stepped in. A few Steemians and non Steemians joined live before the show went live. These Steemians were @mamun123456, @whizzbro4eva, @deetalka6, @nsijoro, @maraine etc...

The Vos-25 Award Presentation was Live |
|---|
At exactly 3:30pm, the show went live and I granted everyone access to the video call link. I started by introducing myself and acknowledging the sponsors who are behind the prize I wanted to present that day. I'll mention their names in my appreciation posts. You can watch the video to hear their names. @vicvine25 later came and sat in front of the stage since we had no guests of our own as planned.
I gave a rundown of the activities done before this stage and the prizes to be won. These are stated lower and I made an announcement that day to prepare their hearts on what they would win.
| Category | Prizes |
|---|---|
| Winner | 250 steems, 10k SP, A dummy cheque, a medal, a plaque, a banded t-shirt, 7 steems every month for 5 months |
| First Runner Up | 150 steems, 7k SP, a medal, a branded t-shirt and 5 steems every month for 5 months. |
| Second Runner Up | 100 steems, 3k SP, a medal and 2 steems every month for 5 months |
After announcing the prizes, I gave the mic. to @glorystar21 to sing what she sang in the finals.
@glorystar21 Performance |
|---|
@glorystar21 was the first finalist to perform with her unique voice. She sang Heritage as she sang during the finals and she gave it freshly baked that day with a microphone. She sang like a winner. The link below shows the full performance.
@vicvine25 Performance |
|---|
She was the next finalist to sing. Without instrumentals, she gave the best performance I've heard from her in years. It seems she was hiding this talent all these while or probably her voice is just so good with a microphone. She sang like a winner and gave us one of those her angelic voices.
@bee5 performance |
|---|
She was the third finalist to perform and she also sang without instrumental. She sang Rise up by Andrea Day. She's always fond of mimicking the way the artist sings. She ate without leaving crumbs and sang like a winner.
@us-andrew performance |
|---|
As the only male finalist in this show, he made me emotional with his choice of song. I'm still owing him big time because of this presentation. He didn't allow the pressure of having ladies with good vocals to pressure him. He did his best and the song he sang was Counting my blessings by Angels songs. He nailed it. He sang like a winner.
Eviction time and announcements of winners |
|---|
After singing our like winners, they stood in front, awaiting the announcement of results. I honestly don't know how they felt because personally, I'd feel tensed. And the first finalist to be evicted from the show was @us-andrew with a total vote of 10% from members of the steemit platform. He even got a comment from a Steemian saying he deserves to win because of his being natural and emotional.
The next finalist to be evicted from the show was @vicvine25. Our viewers have her 13% votes. Some said she has a very unique voice but didn't understand the native song she sang as her winning song. So she appears to be our second Runner-Up and third winner.

The next finalist to be evicted was @glorystar21, but I didn't want to announce it that way. Since they were only two, I had to announce the winner as it's done. There were lots of tensions as no one knew who the viewers would vote for. A lot of people commented that @glorystar21 be the winner, but her vote was strong enough. She had 30% votes while @bee5 had 47% votes. She was declared the winner, but I kept them on suspense before announcing the winner.

Handing over |
|---|
I then presented medals to each of them and have the overall winner the cheque of 250 steems while the Runner-Ups got 150 and 100 steems. I have out these rewards the following day. We took pictures and did a little video before going to entertain ourselves elsewhere. These are some of the pictures and videos we did in the joy of celebrating the winner. The next competition comes up again next year July. Hope you'll be a part of it this time.

In acknowledgement of some contestants who did excellently well, I gave them steem prizes to complement their being on the show since July. We had Venezuelans and Pakistanis. We had a Bangladeshi too and Nigerians who did well. This is a proof of steems sent to them. Their certificate is still in progress. They'll get it when I create my appreciation post.

Promoting Steemit using this Show |
|---|
A lot of people got to know about steemit and the coin called Steem through his show because it was trending on my social media page. 3 people even asked how they can be part of the platform where they sing and get paid. These are screenshots.

Season 2 |
|---|
Season 2 commences next year July and I'm very sure this would reach a wider audience as I'll create an active YouTube channel for it.
I want to thank the steem video team @ninapenda, @alejos7ven, @marvinvelasquez and the top curators for supporting my show and the contestants who participated.
