CONTEST: Honoring My Mom this Mother's Day Special @kyrie1234
“A mother is your first friend, your best friend, your forever friend.” —Unknown
I totally agree with the quote. Like our friends, they are always there on our side, gave a shoulder to cry on and most especially encourage us whenever we feel down. When we feel that all the people will leave us, surely your mother will be on your side cheering you up and will never leave you even you fail 100 times. That's the real meaning of a MOTHER. I'm glad I got one true friend, God gave me my bestfriend, and that is my MOTHER. And she deserved to be honored in this Mother's Day.
Buenas Noches steemers! The contest initiated by @advhl catched my attention. I already wrote and joined many contest, but before joining I see to it that I had something to say. And I can say that I can share a lot of things to this contest. And thanks to sir @nickjon for inviting me to post my entry here.
So, lets get the ball rolling!
"Mama" My Favorite Hero
I call my mother "MAMA". Mama, is so dear to me because of the experiences in life we had experienced together. I personally defined "MAMA" as my hero. Almost all the bisaya people call their mother, "mama". And I'm sure you are also grateful for your mama, and nothing can be compared with your mama.
Special Moment with Mama
Every moment was special when I'm with her. But celebrating my first "mother's day" as a mother with the best mom in town was so special. And that was happened last year, when my siblings surprised us with a video presentation, cakes and flowers. And I am so amazed and was proven myself that I am already a certified mother. Being a mother, I can say that it was not really easy and I salute my mom for letting us grow who we are today. And I do appreciate all the hardworks every mother had shown to us. They need to be recognized. Their love is incomparable and unconditional. We may fail many times but they are always there to catch us and to embrace us. And take note, we are six in the family but she still managed to let us grow and make a one big happy family. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MAMA. And I thank God for letting me experience the best mom.
I had posted a video link below for you to watch, the very special day of our life being a mother.
Pls click the VIDEO below to watch.
That was I guess a special moment to us mothers and I could see that my mom was so happy and enjoyed the moment. Unfortunately, as what you had noticed on the last part of the first video my sis @mercy11 who worked abroad cried on a video call since she was not there on that very moment. Sad but she needs to be strong.
Our Memories Together
We had lots of memories together but the memory I had to cherish for the rest of my life is the moment when I had to deliver my baby. On my pregnancy journey, everything was so well. My bloodpressure was normal and all the laboratories were normal. Thank God! By the way, that moment my husband was still on Japan and I had to endure everything alone but my mom wont allow that to happen. She was with me everytime I had my prenatal check-up and the rest was history.
To make the story short, the moment I delivered my baby, my blood pressure goes up. And they already monitored my heartbeat because I fainted for almost 10 minutes twice. But then my mama was there, calling my name while Im still asleep and lost air. The moment I hear her calling me, I was able to woke up and saw the nurses surrounds me panicking and my mom and siblings were already crying and nervous. I thank God for my second life. They then gave me an oxygen so that I can breath properly.
But that's not the end of my experience after delivering my first born. I had my post partum depression, I felt so sad and cry if I can't provide a breastmilk for my baby, even in going to cr alone, Im afraid. I totally afraid when Im inside the room alone, and Im scared as well if I heard loud noise. I am so blessed that my mother, don't go to work for almost a year taking good care of me and my daughter. She always gave me a hug, prayed for me, encouraged me and motivated me to embrace the changes. Thanks mama for saving my life. Your an angel sent by God for me.
And now, my husband already went home and we now lived a normal and happy life. Thanks to mama for bringing me back to normal, and made me realized that I need to embrace the changes in life being a mom and a wife. I'm not anymore a kid, I need to be mature enough in handling the trials being a married woman. DAGHANG SALAMAT mama!
And I do believe, most first time moms also experienced what I experience. Lucky are those who had their husband beside them and their mom supporting them.
Mama's Favorite Dish
My mom really loves to eat "utan bisaya". Utan Bisaya is a bisaya term of vegetable soup. She wanted me to cook it because aside from its delicious it also contains lots of vitamins. My mom is just a simple girl with a simple dream. She only dreamed of having a happy family...
While our mom is still there, lets try to make them happy and feel loved because they sacrificed a lot. They sacrificed without expecting something in return. I SALUTE ALL THE MOM in the world. Happy Mother's Day to you all!
To conclude, I want to thank mam @advhl for coming up with this great topic where everyone can relate and share their entry. Thanks as well to sir @juichi and mam @fabio2614 our country moderator for being so active and for the constant reminder. My heartfelt appreciation as well to mam @cryptokannon of @steemingcuration for being the great and unique manager who thinks of the future of the communuty. DAGHANG SALAMAT ninyo!
