My Neighborhood Watch #153 - Reporting Events Around Us
Hi guys! It has been donkey years since I participated in this contest. I'm excited to be involved in this very edition. Thank you, @xkool24 for this platform to present to us an event that took place at my neighborhood last Saturday. Arsenal football club held our street, spell bound for a whole day, causing blockage everywhere. It was unprecedented. Stay tuned, let me tell you what happened.

Arsenal Football Club of England is one of the big English club this season . They had existed for many years without winning Premier League title , let alone winning Champions League. This situation has made the fans at where I used to watch football to swear that any season they would win a major title, that they will cause so much noise in the street that would attract attention of everyone. Luck ran into them this season and they won the Premier League of England. My neighborhood was loud with noise of excitement that I was compelled to sleep late.

As we were basking in the euphoria of the crazy noise of victory, another one struct - a Champions League hopeful. Arsenal Club have fortunately, played the champions league to the final . It was the only team in England that weathered the storm to the final. This scenario of winning the Champions League created a picture of high and a frenzy atmosphere like a pregnant cloud about to deliver rain. Preparation to celebrate winning on the final match with Paris Saint Germaine (PSG), its rival, was unparalleled.
The sky was compelled to change its cloth to red color. Everywhere was red. The fans had to block the major streets in my neighborhood. The carnival-like jamboree was so high that I thought if Arsenal win the Champions League, heaven would let lose. The long time preparation to celebrate, forced the rich fans to support in the decoration of the venue, cooking and the issuing of access code to the venue was speechless.

But the unfortunate struck. Arsenal lost the match. Oh no! What started like a graduation ceremony turned out to be a nightmare that suddenly changed joy into sadness. Gradually, the frenzy noise that once echoed celebration disappeared into the forest, sending the mourning fans, tip-toed to their houses in secret to avoid shame. This was how I was able to sleep early that night. It was a divine intervention. If Arsenal had won the champions league in addition to Premier League, the football world would have crashed on us. Thank God, it turned out the other way around.
That was what happened in my neighborhood last Saturday. It was a tragi-comedy event whose memory shall linger for decades. Thank you for reading my post. Have a great moment.
Let me invite @destinedhanik, @blessing-okereke to join me in this contest
First of all, why are a lot of people happy that arsenal lost the champions cup?? Was the noise that much across many states and countries at the same time??
😂😂😂 I am not an arsenal fan, but then, I feel they deserved their 2 minutes of happiness seeing it’s been 22long years of hoping.
Anyways, who finally ate the rice the rich fans contributed for? Hope it didn’t go to waste?😂
Thanks. My dear, it's so I see o. But the cooked food cannot be left uneaten.
