Announcement : Nigeria Will Host Her 2nd National Steemit Meetup, November 2025.

The long-awaited announcement is here. Guess how Nigerians want to end 2025. Through a meetup where Nigerians from different states come together and get to know the faces behind those usernames we see, have an interchange of encouragement, talk about the current price of steem and ways to improve it as a country, and engage in merriment and fun activities.

The thoughts of the majority were placed into consideration after our first meetup, which was a success in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. We wanted such an event to be held again this year. Since this was a popular opinion event, a few Steemians came together to organise this event and make it a success this month. The planning started early this year. So we'll be hosting our second national meetup this month, and it's going to be a success, as meetups like this bring us together. We get to know ourselves, and others get to know what we do, which can lead to patronage. This has explained the purpose of the meetup. Before exposing where the meetup would be held, let's give you a glance at how the last one was.

Our first meetup was a bow, as the number of Steemians who attended shook the whole place. We came out in our numbers and made the whole place blue. This meetup brought a lot of new users on the platform. We got surprised, learnt from people's experiences and always got motivated to push and build our reputation and Steem power.

Everyone who attended got to know the faces behind the usernames we see on Steemit. We partied, danced, got pranked, received surprise packages and the like. These are a few clips.

In terms of budgeting for the event, we started early, in January 2025, to be precise. To aid this meetup, it would be based on a little contribution from Steemians who'll attend. @steemkidss has supported with 200 steems and a few Steemians who indicated interest in sponsoring the event.

These sponsors are @simmonwigwe and @goodybest. Other Steemians like @josepha, @jueco and @starrchris promised to add to what these two donated and will do so before the deadline, as they may not attend due to the distance, which is a barrier to them.

Whatever we plan as organisers is sent for popular opinions. We came up with the idea that Nigerians on Steemit who would attend the meetup can either wear a new branded t-shirt that's green and white or, better still, use their old Steemit t-shirt used in the last meetup. So the use of a branded t-shirt is an option. To the newbies who are just hearing of this for the first time, you'll be considered if you want to wear a branded t-shirt for the meetup. After careful considerations as to how the meetup would be, a draft of what we would spend was made. The venue was put into consideration, and from what we have on our list, the venue is yet to be secured.

A breakdown on Expenses made already concerning the account would be posted this week for transparency

The venue is slated to be held in Uyo since it's a place where we have 70% of Nigerians. So it's more like a central location for the meetup to favour the majority. To those who would love to join but may not be physically present, an avenue for virtual attendance would be made.

The date is 29th November, 2025.

So far, the @nigeria-trail has been used to receive contributions which is currently on power down to incur expenses that'll be made during the meetup.

Initially, we wanted the meetup to last for 3 days, but due to the price of STEEM and the contributions received so far, we ruled it out. It's now going to be a full day to cut expenses for those who'll be lodging in hotels.

Conclusively, this meetup isn't just an ordinary event for entertainment. It's an event to reshape and bring Nigerians together, fostering growth, engagements, enhancing content writing skills and awarding the best content creators this year. It's a meetup of togetherness, a bullish year to remember.
