Lioness (White Charcoal On Black Paper)

Hello Everyone. I hope you're all having a great day.
To begin my day, I this wildlife art which is a drawing of a lioness using a white charcoal on black cardboard paper. I decided to make this piece to practice drawing with the above medium and also because the reference photo looked quite challenging. I almost had to quit the drawing..haha.
I understood patience was the key to making a drawing look great therefore so I decided to take my time to create the drawing and It looked better than I anticipated.

Here are the steps involved in the drawing;
I started the drawing from the eyes and also began adding fur details to the skin.


I continued adding details of fur to her mouth, jaws and ear.

Finally, I added details to the remaining parts of the face until I got a satisfactory result.

The reference wildlife photo for this drawing was found on Google with no link/connection to its owner.
