Behind The Photo contest - Edition #7 The Setting Sun

It was our first week long holiday of the semester. That was in fact my last semester. So the first holiday of my last semester!

Me and my roommate have been best friends for as long as I can remember. Since I've returned back to my country, we haven't met for almost 2 years now and we're still best friends!

We decided to do some sightseeing and as it so often happens we got a few friends to tag along as well.

Why did I choose to post about this day out?

It so happened to be the last time me and my roommate ever had a hangout as I got too busy with finals and graduation paper works etc etc. Oh how I wish I knew this would be the last time! Looking back at it now, knowing it was the last time, these memories are precious!

It's been 2 years and I can still feel the cool late afternoon breeze by the west lake, the water calm as ever!

The smell of the green soon called us out in the woods and we found ourselves some wooden shades, surrounded by tall trees all around us.

But the highlight of the evening was supposed to be watching the sunset from the top of the highest hill around the lake. So we set of climbing (literally walked up stairs actually, to be precise!).

We reached the top a while before sunset and got a nice view of a lovely Pagoda. We chatted on while staring down from the top, waiting eagerly for the sunset.

Time passed by, the sun began to set and we watched mesemerized at what nature could do without any makeup. Beauty at it's purest! It's almost as if every shade was precisely planned!

Little did we know the sun was setting on a long built friendship, on all the laughs and all the struggles and fighting out the uni years together...ah alas! Little did we know....
