Endings for the right reasons can be beautiful! This is goodbye.

But I will refrain from that in this post. Yes, I could go on and rant about how Justin Sun ruined this place and give him a piece of my mind (which I have already done on multiple occasions!)

But it's all futile for now. We're moving away and that's the important thing.

And with that being said, This is my goodbye to the STEEM Blockchain!

I stumbled on to steemit mid 2017 when I was a total noob to the world of cryptocurrency. When I was too reluctant to invest any fiat money into cryptocurrency, STEEM and steemit provided me a free gateway into the cryptoverse without any fiat capital investment and I am thankful for that, regardless of what rotten hell Ned and now Justin Sun has turned this place into!

Some developers have worked tirelessly to churn out new features, despite the stagnant state of the blockchain the last couple of years. I thank you guys for all the hard work you have put in behind the advancement of this blockchain and these developments move with us to HIVE and I am hope development will continue at an even faster rate without anything pulling you guys back! You guys are absolutely talented developers and we are lucky we had you and will continue to have such talented developers who worked tirelessly to build us a new home in under 2 weeks! Bravo on that! You guys are not human!

Most of my knowledge about cryptocurrency grew from reading articles, watching videos and interacting with people on this blockchain, some really knowledgeable people! I thank you guys all for what you have taught me.

I have made some really good connections, I have developed my writing skills and I feel I'm a much better blogger now than I was 3 years ago when I started. The reward that comes with a good blog has pushed me further and further to improve my blogs and I thank every single community that has pushed me through this journey!

If the steem blockchain was my home, the @steemstem community was my room! I don't know what we're going to rebrand into, but I got really fond of steemstem, so much so that my heart aches to say that I'll no longer be writing steemstem at the end of my science posts!

I also want to take some time to thank the @steemitbd @bdcommunity along with @bdvoter led by @reazuliqbal and @zaku and all the curators, the @ocd community and @ocdb, The GEMS community led by @appreciator @upmewhale @rocky1 and @bluemist for the immense amount of support in terms of post rewards, that too on a regular basis, without which I couldn't have kept the motivation to keep going! You guys absolutely made creating fresh content a hobby for me! Thank you for that!

The Powerhouse Creatives Community lead by @jaynie and @zord189 and Neoxian led by @neoxian along with all the dragons of the city have made interaction a habit on this blockchain and on discord!

Thank you to everyone I have had an interaction with at some point during my stay here on steem. Thank you to all the witnesses who held their own against an evil force to hold this chain long enough!

But most importantly, thank you to this community. We came through and showed what unity can do. we showed the entire cryptoverse what we stand for, Decentralization.

Steem has been our home for a very long time and just like when we change homes there's uncertainty, we'll have a bit of uncertainty as well as we move to our new home, HIVE. But there is also the excitement of discovering something fresh! So I hope every single one of you will make the transition along with us not to stick one up justinsun's rear, but to Stand up against a centralizing power and to Stand up for decentralization.
