Scamp Trailer Drawing Using Highlighters and Magic Colours
Hello everyone! I have been watching Elsa Rhae's YouTube channel for a while now and she travels and lives in a scamp trailer with her partner and pet dog. I find the life she lives to be interesting although it won't be the kind of life that will suit someone like me as I prefer a life where I can settle down and have a place I can call home. Living as a nomad will be stressful for a homebody like me. In spite of that, I do watch her channel often as I find a nomad life to be fascinating and adventurous which is why I drew a scamp trailer today.
Tools and Materials
- Milkliner Highlighters
- A sheet of sketchbook paper
- Magic Colours (Fine tipped markers)
- A HB pencil
- A black gel pen
Method
First of all, I drew an outline of a scamp trailer using a HB pencil so I can have a little guide.
Then, I used a black gel pen to draw over the pencil lines. I also added more details in the background. I erased the pencil lines later on.
By the way, these are my highlighters and magic colours. I don't know why we call them magic colours here. But in case you are not familiar with the term, magic colours are just fine-tipped markers.
I did my first layer of colour in blue and it was so light.
I added another layer of the blue. I also used green and blue magic colours to add some lines. This drawing is very random by the way. It was more of experimenting with different tools and less of a planned artwork.
I coloured the windows and trees using highlighters.
I added some magic colour touches to make the trees look more prominent as my highlighter was dull. I was trying to draw fir trees.
Next, I coloured the mountains using two different blues.
I added some blue magic colour strokes on the mountains to create darker shadows. Then, for a reason I decided to colour the ground in a muted red. I didn't like it much so I added some purple over it. I then coloured the tyres in grey.
Here's my DIY-ed sticker after cutting it. I will be sticking it on the cover or in one of the journaling pages of my book.

Happy Journaling to everyone who love to journal. Thank you for dropping by and I hope that you have a great day ahead! =)
