How to cook chicken liver adobo. 4|30|2022

Adobo is a Filipino dish of chicken or pork stewed in vinegar, garlic, soy sauce, bay leaves, and peppercorns. But for me the main ingredients aside from meat in making adobo is to make sure it has vinegar and soy sauce, this makes the essence of adobo for me.

Adobo is derived from Spanish word adobar which means marinade. So here comes the importance of vinegar and soy sauce.

Why do I eat chicken liver?
Chicken liver is a great source of healthy proteins, vitamins, and minerals as long as its not overcooked. But eating too much of this is also not healthy. Remember, everything should be in moderation.

This very simple and quick cooking. To start with, we need to gather the ingredients like:

  • chicken liver, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, onion, cooking oil.

Potato is optional. I like potatoes in my dish because I used it as a replacement for my rice.

COOKING TIME!

1. Marinate the chicken liver using vinegar and soy sauce. Add garlic and onion. The amount of vinegar is equal to the amount of soy sauce just enough to soak the chicken liver.

you can put black pepper and chili powder if you want it spicy.

2. Heat the pan with a small amount of cooking oil then stir fry the potatoes. When potatoes are slightly cook, add the chicken liver and the sauce from the marinade. If you don't want potatoes, skip procedure #2. Remember do not over cook the chicken liver to get its heath benefits.

3. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes or until its golden brown. Add seasoning granules for additional taste.

It's quick and easy cooking for a nutritious meal. You can also use pork, chicken, or any meat you prefer in cooking adobo. And ready to eat!
