Tuna Green Salad
Hello everyone
Today, I will give you a practical but tasty and healthy salad recipe.
I love all kinds of salads, but now the salad that I will share with you is among my favourites.
Now I will share with you a tuna salad recipe. I love tuna very much. Maybe the reason why I love this salad so much is the tuna.
Actually, I never ate fish. I would be offended by the smell and dislike the taste at all. I went to Istanbul with my boyfriend (my only husband) the year we graduated from university. We bought fish and bread from the historical Eminönü fishermen there. Actually, I was bothered by the smell of fish, but that day the smell of fish attracted me. Since then, I have loved fish very much. I especially love to eat tuna fish. I especially like sandwiches and salads made with tuna.
Now that I have mentioned enough about my memories of eating fish, I can now give you our salad recipe.
Tuna Green Salad
Necessary materials
- Lettuce
- Arugula
- Parsley
- Fresh mint
- Fresh onion
- Dried Tomatoes
- Tuna
First we wash the greens nicely. I soaked it for a while. In fact, it would have been much better to soak it in vinegar water, but there was no vinegar left in the house.
After cleaning the greens, I started chopping them one by one. First, I finely chopped the lettuce and put it in a large salad bowl.
Then I chopped the parsley, arugula and fresh mint into small pieces and added them to the lettuce.
Then I chopped the spring onions and added them to the salad. You can use dry onions if you want, but I prefer fresh onions in green salads.
I cut the dried tomatoes into small pieces and added them to the salad. I dried the tomatoes myself on the balcony of my house last summer.
Then I added tuna fish, which is the most important ingredient in the salad. I chose a brand that I like very much. ( I think the best tuna in the Turkish market)
I used lemon, salt and a very small amount of olive oil as salad dressing.
Even though I drained the oil from the tuna, it still had some oil. For this reason, I used olive oil in small amounts. I don't want it to be a very oily salad.
As you can see, it was a great salad. We ate it with my husband.
There is one last thing I want to say. You can also add corn to the salad if you want.
I didn't add corn because of its caloric value.
Good luck to those who will try my recipe.
Thank you for taking your precious time to read my post.
