SPEEDY RECOVERY: 5 Mins freewrite

Let me calm my head down,
for the mind has to have a thought
for the hands to write it down.

A cool melody my mind travels to —
perhaps it’s just my love for some specific sounds.
Maybe their frequency is just enough
to force the mind into a state of speedy recovery.

The words of the world, a sharp piece of sword.
The mind, with a defence so shallow,
brought down to the state of despair.
A lack of lustre he sees,
and perhaps a true lack of the life he breathes.

In that despair, he hears a heart-drawing melody,
one with words to build those shattered walls,
forcing on a quick healing and boosting your morale,
telling you to rise up —
for your roar is just about to be heard greatly.

Your walls have now been fortified,
and the heart’s been made a strong tower
for the outside to imitate.

It is good to read your poetry. How to calm the mind? Did you figure that out?

Calm comes either with the assurance that things will go well, or with a diversion toward something that gives you warmth.
I actually love listening to music to calm myself 😂. Different types of music can serve different purposes in different situations, though😂

Music won't help me I am afraid. It is mainly due to the texts... Nothing is comforting in hearing the same misery over and over again. It can be distraction, but calming my mood? No.

😂 we could always check something new and fun.
But the distractions might help sometimes unless the mood is chosen.
But nothing works more than you knowing yourself and being in control of your emotions. Other things are just stabilisers or the latter
