My chickens love playing in the backyard because there's grass and mangrove trees. They catch grasshoppers and earthworms. The view is also beautiful in the evening.

This area used to be used for salt production, but that's no longer the case since my sister-in-law moved out. The green grass and abundant grasshoppers make the chickens happy to hang out there, even on hot days.

They also run wild when monitor lizards pass by. Sometimes the monitor lizards are so large that the chickens are scared and choose to run away.

There's still salt? It's valuable. You will miss it if it's no longer around. It keeps the food good. You prepare salted meat as well?
I envy the chickens and the backyard.

Hahahaha.

There are even fairy tales about salt. The one where the king said that "salt" is useless always impressed me. The man who offered it in exchange for the king's daughter was sent away.
He started working in the King's kitchen, and as the King held a big party, he left the salt out o the food. The King of course,e was angry and asked for the cook.... You can guess how the story ended.

What I never understood is (considering this fairy tale) why Zwarte Piet, the helper of St Nicholas give salt to children who misbehave. If salt is precious, it doesn't make sense or did he pour the salt into wounds?

It's a very famous fairy tale.

P.s please try to post in English in CCC, thank you.

I'm sorry, I forgot

It's beautiful to see animals grow up in freedom. That way we don't even have to worry about feeding them.

Ia....tapi kalau pagi dan sore hari aku tetap memberikan mereka makan sehingga ayam-ayam menjadi sangat jinak dengan ku

Jajajaja.

Hey, what a spectacular view you've taken! What beautiful chickens!
If that place was a salt mine, there must still be salt there. The lush green vegetation indicates that water is always present.
Your chickens are happy because they have plenty of insects as well as green grass to eat.
What is a monitor, is it a carnivore?

That photo is beautiful. The landscape, the plants, the chickens, and the vegetation make the photo and that place a delight to behold. You chose a very good photo. Do you have many chickens? There are quite a few in the photo. See you later.

Very interesting, 5 hens is a lot. I also raise chickens, but a virus wiped out almost all of them and I only have 3 left. How wonderful that you were able to enjoy them at a feast! Regarding the chickens playing (It must be very sweet to see those two hens having fun).

You're welcome, it was a pleasure to see such a lovely photo. Have a good day.

Semoga bermanfaat 🙏

Don't worry. My chickens died here because a tropical storm passed through and left several diseases in the environment that affected them. Your chickens have no chance of suffering from the same illness as mine. It's great that you take good care of them to prevent other diseases from affecting them. It's very interesting to know what you do with them and how you care for them.

Yes, I will try my best for them, even my neighbors give syrup medicine to their chickens, but I don't dare to try it because we don't know how much dosage, the intention to save them actually ended up dying in the end.

👍🙂
