Hello fellow Steemians and wonderdul residents of CCC I must express my gladness for being here as this would be my first post in this community, this is my entry into the CONTEST: Looking Back/Look Forward 3.43.
THE GOOD OLD DAYS.
Life is not always a roller coaster, it has it's ups and downs, it has its highs and lows and also has its moments and all these forms memories. Some of these memories are pleasant while some are not. The pleasant memories we always remember, while the bad ones we try to suppress, but in all its our memories that defines us.
That's me on the far left with my friends during my university days.
For me I look back to the good old days when I was a university student, I had a lot of friends and was free as a bird to do whatever I wanted. I look back to those days when I could get up and go, party all weekend and was answerable to no one.
There were lots of fun memories then, the hilarious jokes, the throaty laughs, the beautiful girls, the drinks, these were all fun moments when you didn't have to hold back at all, but then adulthood happened and all that changed, I now have to weigh my actions before taking them.
Secondly I also look back to not long ago when our lives were our own, we were free to move about as we liked, we were free to visit cinemas and hang out with friends, days when we went to church freely and went for other functions without restrictions.
I look back to those days when we could express our emotions without holding back, share a hug freely, plant a kiss without fears travel around and live the way you believe but then covid happened and all those were taken away from us.
Today I look forward to when we would be free from this pandemic and go back to our normal lives without any fear or inhibitions. I look forward to the return of normalcy and I do pray and hope that the day will come.

You have memories, good ones of your childhood, you being a student which is already more than many can say. Let's hope the toddlers and young children will have the opportunity to go out, meet and greet and have fun again. I have strong doubts about their future and social skills but I do know one should not live in fear. Not for this virus or any other virus. We are not talking about 80% of the population getting seriously ill and dying but about not even 2% ending up in hospital and out of these 2 percent even less ends in the IC.
I do believe it's a way to take freedom away and make us stop travelling.
It's good we have internet and it's nice to meet you. I like your photo it's a colorful one.

Hello friend @the-patriarch, nice to read your post. You are completely right, we all miss those old days where we were not stroke by pandemic. All those good moments we used to have, that now are gone. We all miss it, but we hope we can have a better life in the near future. That's what we all look forward to. Greetings :)

Being a university student is a GREAT experience, God willing we can get back to normality and continue creating new life experiences!
