New Year, New House, New Beginning

2021 has really taught me of a certain thing, life challenges are beyond our control but how we handle the situation is totally in our hands. Maybe some of us were still covered by the darkness because of the trials that we have encountered just before the year ended. Well, life is full of challenges, you have to embrace all the misfortune and don't lose hope because there's always a blue sky waiting tomorrow. Let those failures be charged to experience, embrace the lessons and used it as a stepping stones while pursuing life.

To welcome 2022 with a huge table full of delicious dishes, luxury things around and the abundance in life isn't required anymore. In this situation that we are in, the most important thing that we must have is unity with our family in the middle of nothingness.

After hit by the devastating typhoon Odette, we have nothing left but the debris that was scattered all around, but life must go on still in spite of it. We look for ways on how to rebuild again our house. With the presence of our relatives, friends and neighbors who extended their help, our new house was built thru "Bayanihan" this refer to a spirit of communal unity and cooperation. It was not totally done yet but at least it has already a roof that gave us shade from the ray of the sun and from the rain. Still no walls because the budget was tight and the building material prices were raisin just after the Typhoon. Right after the new years day, we continue building the house, sorting things that maybe still used and cleaning all the messed. It was raining the whole day but still we are unbothered because we want to move on from yesterday's catastrophe and we need to fix everything, put things in order so that the typhoon may have seen no more traces. We need to work, we need to take action and wait no more for the government's help. We stand independently because in this greatest crisis of our lives we must depend no one but to our own self. The building of our new house was still on going and there's a little progress day by day. We are not after with expensive or elegant house at all, a simple house that we can call a home is mere enough. Hopefully by the first week of February our house will be fully built.
