Achievement 2 @menkemndi Task: Basic Security on Steem

My name is Menkemndi Randy and I am a filmmaker from Cameroon and I'm happy to move on to the next achievement in this new comers community.

Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?

Do you know each of these keys functions and restrictions?

Yes
Posting key: The posting key permits me to be able to post, comment, edit, resteem, and vote other post.
Active key: I can use the active key to transfer funds, power up/power down, vote for witnesses, and updating my profile details.
Owner key: I can use the owner key to change any of the other keys and it is regarded as the most powerful key amongst all the keys.
Memo key: I can use the memo key for encrypting and decrypting memos when I am transferring funds.
Master key: I can use the master key to generate all other keys, and account recovery. The master key covers all the other keys like an umbrella to my steemit wallet.

How do you plan to keep Your master Password?

I plan to keep it on my Google drive, in my hard drive and print a hard copy and keep. This way I can easily recover it.

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes.
You start by login into your steemit wallet using your posting or active key, you can only login into your wallet with your master key if you want to change your password.

Click on steem

Click Transfer

Insert user name, amount and memo then click ok or next.

Check the details and click ok. Validate the transaction with your active key Incase you logged in with your posting key.

Do you know how to power up your steem?

Yes.

Click on steem

Click on power up

Insert amount and click power up.

Check details and click ok.

Verify the power up is successful in your steem wallet.
